Christ Is What God Is

Summer early mornings are so beautiful, the awakening and beginning of another day. Praise God for the beauty of His creation.

In the 1st Chapter of Colossians we see a clear affirmation of the deity of Christ. “He is the the image of the invisible God”. You might say, Christ is whatever God is; spiritual, omnipotent, omniscient, holy, the very attributes of the eternal God.

As stated in Colossians, “all things were created by Him (or in Him) in heaven and earth and for Him” and “He is before all things and all things consists by Him”. So we can say, He is the past before all things, the present and the future of all things. How exciting to know the the very God of creation is our Lord and Savior.

Christ is the only redemption for mankind and the universe. For as stated in Colossians it states, “in Him all fulness dwell” and “through the blood of the cross reconciled all things unto Himself by Him”.

Yes, we can say He is to be our all and all. “Christ in you the hope of glory”. Christ is and is to be our only truth, our wisdom and our knowledge. The world will bring out false truths, be it of science; false wisdom and false knowledge; for this is another of satans devices to bring about destruction and death upon mankind and the earth. A good reason to “walk in the steadfastness of your faith, rooted and built upon Christ Jesus abounding theirin with thanksgiving”.

Again let me state, “we are to put on the new man and put off the old man with his deeds”. In other words, it is similar to discarding old clothing and replacing them with new clothing. Some of the aspects of the new man we put on includes showing tender mercy; kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness and longsuffering , forbearing for one another and forgiveness. Above all or in all we must put on “charity (love), which is the bond of perfectness. Let the peace of God rule in your hearts as we are called in one body (as one body) and be thankful.

The key to being in Christ is having the word of Christ dwelling in us. The 1st step is to accept/receive Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Maintaining and growing in this faith will comprise of reading/studing the Holy Scriptures, having conversations with others (not referring to public worship but outside of our public worship) and even to yourself in making melody in your heart “with psalms and spiritual songs (Christian theme), singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” talking to your Heavenly Father on a regular basis, daily.

“whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him”.

In conclusion, for we are In Christ and Christ Jesus is in us as a Christian, believer, follower of Christ, we are to give praise to our Heavenly Father, God, through our Savior Jesus Christ.

Be blessed today and be thankful in all things, for God will turn, or make something good out of our heartaches, troubles and trials. God is a merciful and loving Father.

As always,

Love in Christ Jesus, Paul Lundmark
