In the Hands of the Almighty God

As I arise with the morning sun, there is a joy and peace that surpasses my own understanding. I am very grateful for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in my life.

Before leaving to pickup my wife from the hospital, I would like to express my sincere gratefulness for all your prayers. May ALL PRAISE and GLORY be given to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, for guiding the Doctors hand and for a quick recovery. God truly does watch over His children.

Now on to my thought for today; God is a merciful God. For those of you who may feel as though you must clean yourself up before coming to God, may I be blunt…your thinking is wrong.

Simply put, the only job you and I have is to repent…choose God’s way. Repent means “to turn”. We repent when we turn from our old ways of doing things and turn to God’s way. Repentance will require humbling ourselves.

1 John 1:9 puts it in the true context and meaning. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

Thank God for a way out. The adversary, the devil will keep us locked up in a life of rebellion if we allow. Jesus is the only way out of our troubles and rebellion.

Right now, Jesus stands knocking at the door of your heart, asking, compelling to come in. Let God began a spiritual renewal in your heart and life. God will do what He said He will do. The blood of Jesus will wash away your sin. Now is the time for complete seperation from the world. Now is the time to allow the Savior to clean you up and use you for His glory. If you are tired of compromise in your life…today is the day for personal revival in your life.

Revival begins with facing your sin, realize your sin, and then repent… for here begans our dependency on God.

If you mean business with God, pray this prayer asking Jesus into your heart and life. .

…I come to you God as a sinner and ask for repentance of my rebellion and sin. I ask you Jesus to apply your blood to my heart and cleanse me from every sin. I am  determined to live for You and turn my back on all sin. I ask you Lord to walk in me, to talk in me and be my God. I ask you God to be my Father and to accept me as your child. I ask you to fill me with your Spirit in the fullness of the Holy Spirit with boldness and power to live for you, to be a witness and have a testimony and to tell others of your salvation plan. Thank you Lord, Amen.

If you prayed the above prayer from your heart with a repentant heart, you will begin to feel and see a change, a cleansing of you thoughts, mind and heart. You will not desire to do the things you use to do. As you read the Holy Bible, there will become a hunger and thirst after God’s righteousness and a desire to live right.

The christian walk is to be a walk of faith. We must trust and believe in God and His Word; for within this, lies faith. We are to read His Word, believe His Word, apply His Word and become a doer of His Word. “Without faith we cannot please God”.

You have become a new creature in Christ Jesus. Began to read, study, and apply His Word. It is important to get the Word of God in you for we now walk by faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. As a believe in Christ you will be put to work and He will use you in reaching others for His Kingdom.

When your spiritual house is in order you will be inline for His blessings and favor. Yes, God will have you right where He wants you. The walls of rebellion, disobedience and your own self-will begins to crumble and  you will be opened to the will of God in and for your life. He will call you His Friend and you will call Him your friend. Here we see the meaning that Jesus is “a friend that sticks closer than a brother”.

God is not looking for a super-human people, but He is looking for a holy and pure people. In a holy and pure people He will have a vessel of honor and glory from which His Holy Spirit will flow with power and might.

God is not looking for a personality, a showman or an actor; He is looking for a vessel of honor and glory. For all might and all power and all glory is His and we are, you might say, the conduit or vessel in which He uses and flows through to get the message of the Gospel of Christ Jesus out to a lost people.

We were once lost in our sins but now are made free from the distructive power of satan and his deceptive ways.

In conclusion, remember this, God will always go before us in battle. In our self we are powerless. When satan the enemy of our soul, surrounds us, we can say to that devil and remind him, that in and of myself I am powerless but as stated in 1 John 4:4, “greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world”.

Always remember, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is in you working together as one. Now we see God and you as one…yes, God and me as one, there is power over every deceptive way that the devil shall bring before you and me.

Just as a reminder, we are not little Gods … there is only one God, and we are His child. God is in control by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Christ Jesus overcame the devil in everyway and with Christ in you, in me; satan, the devil will have to flee, when we take authority over him through Christ Jesus.

Yes, in Him, in Christ “we live, move and have our being”. It is assuring to know that we are in the hands of the almighty, all powerful God.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark.
