Good morning to all. As I sit under my gazebo in my backyard with a bit of rain and an overcast of clouds, I am brought to Matthew chapter 27-28. This is the time in history when Jesus, our Savior was taken to the cross, made sin for you and me.
Yes, He suffered, died and was buried, for our sins, your sins, and was resurrected by God our Father so we may have eternal life and be made right in God’s eyes.
What greater love is this that God would give His only begotten Son, so who ever would believe on Him would have eternal life.
As Christ Jesus spoke His last words it sealed God’s eternal plan for mankind. “It is Finished”. We now have the choice to be eternally with Him and now; yes, even today, have a relationship with Him.
The central or centered word in Christ last words at the cross were “why”. There was no other way to save us from our sins. It took a perfectly righteous Man to save us from our sins. His shed blood washed away our sins.
Christ was forsaken by His Father, as stated in (Ps 37:25, He 13:5) God will never leave us or forsake us.
There is no greater love than this to lay down your life for another!
It became completely dark from the sixth hour until the ninth hour when Jesus spoke; “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
Jesus was resurrected 3 days later and walked amoung them. Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20, “
Here we see Christ our Lord and Savior clearly claims as diety to be omnipotence Creator in the beginning (Jo 1:1-3) and now He laid aside His diety to become man and die for the sin of the world. He has now become Redeemer as well as Creator and had assumed the attributes of God.
We as a believer and followers of Christ, have the very guidance of God, Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit leading us into all truth.
My prayer is that all will grab hold of the powerful truth which is stirring within each of us, God Himself, yes. the very truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
God Bless, as always,
Love in Christ Jesus, Paul Lundmark
