Are You Ready?

As I look out into the eastern sky this morning, my thoughts go to the coming of Christ. His return will be soon and we ought to be ready.

The teachers, leaders of the day, the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God should come and “Jesus answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you”.

Yes, the Kingdom of God was truly in their visible midst at that day, but Christ was telling them that the Kingdom of God also was and will be within them.

As you read on in Luke through chapter 17, Jesus teaches the true meaning of the kingdom of God. One will first enter the kingdom of God in its spiritual aspect when he or she is born again (Jo 3:3), for this is what Jesus was explaining and emphasizing here in Luke 17.

“°For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost, (Holy Spirit)”. (Romans 14:17).

As we wait for Christ return (the rapture of the believers) we can be confident in Christ, for as a believer the kingdom of God is already present in the person of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, as our teacher, guide, comforter and friend, who sticks closer than a brother.

Yes, in times of trouble, persecution for the Gospel sake, we have a confidence in Christ for the kingdom of God is within us.

Truly, God’s plan of sealing our Salvation and Redemption for eternity has become a reality in the believer, today, through the indwelling and working of the Holy Spirit. Christ in us the hope of Glory!

In conclusion, Christ is returning SOON for His bride, His church, His people. We must be ready, and continue in the faith as long as it is called today.

In other words, our life as a believer must always be in Christ, unto righteousness (right living, in thoughts, word and deed).

Our relationship with Christ and God our Creator must always be built upon His Word and following the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit; in all truth and obedience, applying the Word of God in our daily living.

The very times of Noah are truly represented into days lifestyles and living…and this provides us a guide as to the time of Christ returning to be soon maybe even today.

Here are a few of the characteristics of the day of Noah which we can see revealed in society today.

  1. Physical appetites (Luke 17:27)
  2. Secularism (Luke 16:28)
  3. Disregard of marriage (Ma 24:38)
  4. Uniformitarianism (He 11:7))
  5. Disobedience (1 Pe 3:20)
  6. Ungodliness (Jude 15)
  7. Unbelief (2 Pe 2:5)
  8. Blasphemy (Jude 15)
  9. Population increase (Ge 6: 1, 11)
  10. Hedonism, the pursuit of pleasure; sensual self-indulgence. (Ge 4:21)
  11. Technology (Ge 4:22)
  12. Violence (Ge 6: 11, 13)
  13. Corruption (Ge 6:12)
  14. Sexual promiscuity (Ge 4: 19; 6:2)
  15. Homosexuality (Ge 19:4-5)
  16. Organized satanic activity (Ge 6:1-4)

Yes, the signs of the time of Christ returning is at hand…

Consider these questions in your own heart;

  • Are you prepared to meet your maker?
  • Have you made it right with God and man?
  • Have you personally accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

If not, NOW would be a good time to do that, ask Christ into your heart, believe and accept God’s Salvation plan for your life. Give Him your thoughts, mind and heart; yield your body soul and spirit to Him. As a born again believer you are guaranteed eternal life with Christ and God your Creator.

“If” you realize you fall short as a “Christian” in following Godly ways, repent, turn from unrighteousness and continue in the faith! God’s grace is sufficient and He is a forgiving God!

For as the scriptures states, “In Him I live, move and have my being”.

Don’t miss His return!

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
