Requesting takes Asking

Another beautiful day here in Orlando, enjoying the morning sun rise. This morning my thoughts go to that of requesting or you might say, asking in prayer for that what is needed for this day. Prayer with repentance from the heart brings results! Asking in prayer consists both that of praise and worship to our Heavenly Father.

It will take believing on His Word, believing that God has provided all that is needed for me/you, today. “Not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the Lord of hosts”.

Be encouraged, find the promise for your need in His Word, believe the promise, trust the promise for you and as it takes root allow the truth of the promise to grow, by faith, stand and let God.

Begin to see your promise as a seed that will begin to take root, it must be watered by His Word and prayer, simply put, trust and obedience brings forth the fruit of your petitioning. GOD WILL!

Next time you have a request you desire from God, ask expectantly and be ready to do anything that He might tell you. It is impossible for you not to experience God and His power working in and thru your life when you pray (His promises) and not dwell on the problem.

He has promised to fill you with the Holy Spirit…who will guide you into ALL truth. Use Scripture to boost your prayer confidence. If you want to become a prayer warrior, saturate yourself with the words and examples of prayer warriors found in the Bible.

  • Jesus stated in John 14:6 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Your faith in the finished work of Jesus will bring great results.

Consider these texts as you pray:

Moses in Exodus 15:2-3: “The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my victory … The Lord is a (man of war) a warrior.”

David in Psalm 28:7: “The Lord is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in him with all my heart. He helps me.”

The three Hebrew captives in Daniel 3:17: “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty.”

Daniel in the lion’s den, Daniel prayed 3 times a day. Daniel 6:21-22: Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”

Jobs trust in God, Job 13:15 (KJV) “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”

The prophet Micah in Micah, 3:8: “But as for me, I am filled with power and the Spirit of the Lord. I am filled with justice and might.”

Jesus in Mark 9:23: “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

Paul in Ephesians 3:20: “Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.”

Yes, God is able and yes He can. It is His will to answer our request as we pray His Word. He will heal and deliever all who asks in faith. He cannot and will not lie. Do you believe! Again it will take faith and trust in His Word!

Be patient, He will come through! Keep asking in faith, keep praying in faith!

As always, love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark
