This morning I would like to summarize the last 3 mornings in my daily thoughts given that: It Is God’s will to heal spiritually (our spirit- soul) and physically (our body).
Our body will not live forever here on this earth. From the day we are born our body in it’s present form is aging (dying) and will die returning to the earth. Our spirit (soul) will pass into eternity. Ultimately, as “a believer” in eternity, we will have a new body and live with Christ, forever.
We can live here on earth with a renewed cleansed heart through Christ Jesus and the repentance of our sins. There is an assurance that we will be with God when we pass from this earth, unto death, forever with Christ.
This is not a mind thing. It is obtainable in the knowledge and confession of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we are saved spiritually and healed physically. It’s in the Bible and must be in your heart; mind, body, soul and spirit.
This is where you might say the rubber meets the road!
In like manner, when we are strickened with sickness or disease we are to go to our Father God through His Son Jesus, ask and believe for the healing of our body that was and is provided for through the resurrection power of Jesus Christ.
Begin to praise and worship God for who he is, our provider.
Jesus stated these words while on the cross, ” IT IS FINISHED”. He was saying, His work was done, man has been set free from the power of Satan. Jesus was made sin for all mankind and bought their redemption by the shedding of His own blood.
Salvation has been provided. The only requirement for mankind to receive was to believe on and in Him and God’s plan of Redemption.
ALL has been provided for the believer and all that is required is for us to continue to live by faith. When we miss the mark, we are to repent and ask for forgiveness from our sin, continue in the faith. If and when we are strickened with sickness or disease we are to ask for our healing in faith believing that God will heal just as he brings salvation to our souls.
May these points bring us to an understanding that IT IS GOD’S WILL TO HEAL both our spirit (soul) and our body to all who comes to Him in faith. Please take time to look up the scriptures as I write my thoughts.
Point: God healed people in both the Old and New Testaments, to all that came in faith. God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11), and He has told us if anyone has a respect of persons he has sinned (James 2:9).
Even though we read that respector of persons has to to with sin and salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, to the believer and non-believer alike; we also can conclude that Jesus was not a respector of persons when it came to healing, both spiritually and physically.
Yes, when our spirit and souls are made right with God by believing, accepting Jesus as the Son of God, who died to forgive us from our sins; we now have the right to ask, believe and receive both our spiritual and physical healing, for He is not a respector of persons.
There is always a matter of trust once we ask God in faith. When it comes to our spiritual salvation there is always an experience that we receive. We will know that we are saved spiritually from deep within us.
Faith continues to grow in us as we continue to obey God.
There becomes a change in our thinking and the things of God, his ways become of high priority, for accepting Jesus into our heart changes us, cleanses our hearts and makes us want to live for Him. Worldliness will have no part in the life of a true believer.
This is where I see a difference in our asking, believing and receiving our physical healing. If we do not see the experience for our physical healing we often lose our trust and faith for our healing, and thus lose faith and continue in our sickness.
We are to always to believe when we ask for our physical healing, even when we do not see it manifested; for again let me emphasize, it is God’s will to heal us when we are sick or have a disease. God is faithful, continue to trust Him, praise Him for who He is.
There are times through wisdom and knowledge of the right diet we can see the results of our recovery but we in ourselves cannot heal our own body for God is our healer.
Yes, there are times we see that of the miraculous healing instantaneously. We are to always believe God will heal and continue in faith believing God’s will is to heal and let God do the miraculous. God is not a respector of persons. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Let me say, we are simply to believe for healing of our body in the same manner as we believe for our salvation. We believe and God does. Faith is a growing process all through life. As our faith grows we will see results come from our faith.
Jesus healed in the Bible and He still heals today. Yes, this proves that God will heal all alike if he has ever healed anyone, He will also heal you!
Healing is a part of His promises He has provided for all alike, and it is one of the benefits for which Jesus died. (Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter. 2:24).
Point: God made it plain, His will concerning healing to those who meet His conditions of healing, believe and receive by faith. (Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).
Point: It was God’s will that man should be healthy and sinless forever when He created him, and that is still His highest will (3 John 2). We are to strive for a sinless life just as we are to strive for a healthy body.
We repent when we sin just as we are to ask for healing in our bodies when we are sick. Many times we abuse our body through our wrong diet. We must use wisdom and knowledge in proper eating to maintain our own body. There may be times when we must ask God for forgiveness and repent for abusing our body, physically and nutritionally.
We believe God will forgive us from our sins when we repent by faith and we believe God will heal our body physically when we ask by faith for healing.
Point: Jesus Christ proved it to be God’s will to heal all the sick when He actually healed all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). And when He gave the early church power to carry on the work He “begin both to do and to teach” (Acts 1:1-8); Matt. 29:19-20; Mark 16:15-20; John 14:12-15). It is God’s will to heal!
Point: Sin is also the will of God if sickness is, for both were dealt with on the same basis (Matthew 9:1-12; James 5:14-16; Matthew 13:15). If we believe and receive our healing for our spirit so should we believe and receive our healing for our physical body.
Point: Jesus would not have died to heal men of sickness if it was the will of God for them to be sick, and if He wanted men to bear it (Matt. 8:16-17; John 10:10; 12:14-15; Acts 10:38; 1 Pet. 2:24).
Point: Every time men asked Christ to heal He did it and repeatedly He said, “I will” (Matthew 8:2, 7; John 5:6). John 12:49
Point: Healing and health is specifically stated to be the will of God (3 John 2; John 10:10; Acts 10:38; Matt. 8:16-17; 1 Pet. 1:24).
Point: The fact that God did not create sickness as part of the perfect creation and the fact that sickness is here because of the work of the devil and because of sin, proves that it is not God’s will for it to be in the human race Rom. 5:12-21;Acts 10:38;John 10:10;Luke 13:16; 3 John 2.
Point: God’s prescription for the sick proves that He does not will men to be sick (James 5:14-16; 1:4-8; Mark 11:22-24).
Point: The ministry of the Holy Spirit in the church proves that it is God’s will for men to be healed (Rom 8:11; 1 Cor. 12:1-31; Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49).
If men will seek half as hard for an excuse to believe God as they do for an excuse to disbelieve Him they would get more of the benefits of the gospel. I believe one of the greatest regrets of Heaven will be that when we get there and see how fully God had provided for our needs on Earth and how anxious He was to bless us with abundance of everything, we will wish we had believed Him more in this life.
Let us start TODAY…believe in the greatness of God and His promises, refuse to let any man or demon rob us of the full benefits we can have NOW!
If I believed God will save me spiritually I also will believe God will heal me physically.
REMEMBER, God is not limited to our limitations, He is able, He can and He will! He is the GOD THAT HEALS THEE! Give praise and Worship to your Creatorhip
As always, Love in Christ Jesus,
