His Word Concerning You Comes Alive – Ephesians

In today’s thoughts I have spent some time in bringing out scriptures that will come alive, from the Book of Ephesians.

As you read these scriptures place your own name in the brackets, just as I have… begin reading it aloud replacing your name in the brackets and see His Word come alive in you. His Word is active and alive to those who will believe.

As you make theses scriptures personal you will begin to see God as He TRULY is, a God of love, mercy and grace! As you read may you begin to understand the TRUE meaning of God’s grace.

Ephesians 1:4 – 8 (NLT) Even before he made the world, God loved (Paul) and chose (Paul) in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt (Paul) into his own family by bringing (Paul) to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So (Paul) praise(d) God for the glorious grace he has poured out on (Paul) who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased (Paul’s) freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave (Paul’s) sins. He has showered his kindness on (Paul) along with all wisdom and understanding.

God has given us great promises in His Word. Let’s look at some more promises concerning you in Ephesians.

Ephesians 1:9 – 12 (NLT) God has now revealed to (Paul) his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because (Paul) (is) united with Christ, (Paul) (has) received an inheritance from God, for he chose (Paul) in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God.

Did you ever wonder what God’s reason was for sending Christ? God’s plan was and is to “bring everything together under the authority of Christ” just at the right time – to be with Him in Christ, FOREVER.

According to verse 12, God’s purpose in all this was that we should praise God and give glory to Him for doing these mighty things for us “who were the first to trust in Christ”. Give God glory, be thankful that we have become gifts for His pleasure, praising and glorifying God our maker, our Father.

You are Blessed, Love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark
