Wisdom and Understanding comes through Christ – Colossians

Another exciting time this morning as I looking more into the Bible from the Book of Colossians for my daily thoughts. As we grow in Christ our faith grows. As our faith grows comes GREAT RESULTS?

Again as we read the scriptures together, let’s make it personal by placing our own names in the scriptures, in the parentheses, replace my name with yours. May the Word speak to you personally!

Colossians 2:6 – 10 (NLT) And now, just as (Paul) accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, (Paul) you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and (Paul) will overflow with thankfulness. Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. (vs 9) For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. (vs10) So (Paul) you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

In verse 9 and 10 we see Christ is to be our ALL and ALL. Trust Christ not just for the BIG things in life but also the little things. This is simply living like a child. Trust Him for and in ALL.

Yes, walking the Christian walk with childlike faith…trusting Him for every single thing in life itself. Do you really believe you have EVERYTHING when you have Christ?

Colossians 2:2 – 3 (NLT) I want (Paul) to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want (Paul) to have complete confidence that (Paul) understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

How thankful I am for Christ and His love for all mankind. Christ in us and working through us, thus “lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”. Your confidence should be in Christ Jesus, who is in you and working through you. Praise be to God our Father.

Colossians 3:17 (NLT) And whatever you (Paul) do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Colossians 3:23 – 25 (NLT) (Paul) Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.

Begin this day, this moment to make God your priority, in thought, action and deed, in Christ Jesus

As always, Love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark
