This morning our minds are still on the celebration of Christmas, enjoying the last few days of celebating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
His love, mercy and grace was proven to be most powerful, then, over 2000 years ago and is most powerful today, tomorrow and forever. It is Finished!
For the believer, Eternity with Him in Heaven.
For the non-believer, a life forever without Him, alone and in despair, a place forever seperated from the love, mercy and grace of God.
Let me encourage you this morning if you have not made Jesus Lord and Savior of your life now would be a good time to do so. This is the only life in which you can make it right, there is no other time. Now is the time, while there is still time. Tomorrow may be to late. Don’t wait until it’s to late to make it right. We do not know when our last breath will be. We are not guaranteed tomorrow.
You can have that peace of mind and assurance that you will be in Eternity with Christ. If Jesus is tugging at you heart won’t you open it fully and let Him in. It is as simple as asking Him to come in.
As we look ahead to the New Year, soon approaching, let’s open our hearts with great expectations for a greater move of the Holy Spirit in our own personal life. As we seek God’s face in this New Year let’s determine to build a deeper relationship with Him through prayer and Bible reading.
I believe Jesus did not leave us powerless. It all comes down to seeking His face. Seeking God and His righteousness. Go after God until He touches you and then never let go. We should always be hungry for more of God. God has so much more for the one who is determined to hear from God.
I believe God always has more for the hungry who seeks His face. It may mean taking time out, being alone with God “in the secret place.” a place alone away from all distractions.
Yes, God will come in and you will NEVER BE THE SAME. What are you waiting for?
In this letter let me first say, isn’t it awesome that God didn’t leave us powerless? The Book of ACTS brings us the Day of Pentecost. This is the fulfillment of prophecy of the coming of the Holy Spirit for all who would receive.
Yes, filling all who desire Him, with the very power of God, to be a witness, a living testamony of a loving and merciful God. As we look into ACTS and the promise for all mankind to receive power “AFTER the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) comes upon you”.
Let’s begin to receive that power to do ALL things for God as the Holy Spirit directs, leads and guides. Do you desire Him? He will give you the power to witness and to be a witness, overcoming all that Satan puts in your pathway.
Remember. “Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.”
Acts 1:8 (NLT) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
God created us for HIS pleasure. His desire is that we would be the vessel for His use. We were created to please God.
Just a couple of thoughts to ponder:
- What if God gave us the born again experience to get Christ in us?
- What if God sent the Holy Spirit to have Christ flowing through us and out of us with power/ authority and boldness to be a witness and testify of Christ in us.
Acts 2:1 – 4 (NLT) On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And every one present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
Yes, after the disciples’ and believers received the Holy Spirit, they began to do miracles in the name of Jesus.
ALWAYS REMEMBER, the most important thing on God’s mind is the salvation of every human being. He does not want anyone to be lost but He has also given us ALL free will.
The only way to be with God in Heaven is by choosing Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We must choose Jesus for salvation if we are to be with Him forever. There is only one way to God and that is through His Son, Jesus.
Won’t you take time out right now to spend a few moments and pray, speak to God? Make Jesus you Lord and Savior by asking Him into your heart.
We are not powerless when Jesus and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our being. Give Jesus your all; your mind, your emotions and your will. The very power that resurrected Jesus brings new life in our body, spirit and soul.
With Jesus and the Holy Spirit taking up residence in us we do not have to fear for “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. “
As always, love in Christ Jesus,
