God’s WORD – TRUTH – Based on Facts

Let me start this mornings thought by asking, what is TRUTH? Truth is often up to debate, but let me say, truth that relays on God’s Word has been proven to not fail.

Truth is what corresponds to reality. Consequently, what is real is true, what is unreal is false. What is TRUTH?

TRUTH is facts, facts are absolute truth that are not tainted with reasoning and presumption in order to sway people in their direction. So many times people will assume a thing to be truth when in reality it is false.

It all comes down to where the facts come from. Here are some questions to look at when deciding the truth of the matter.

Does the information correspond to the reality of the given facts? Is the reality of the information given, to be all facts or partial unreal?

Partial truth can lead to the assumption of all truth. Satan has a way to place parial truth into the equation for those looking to satisfy their own agenda and in doing so can deceive many.

Do you trust the one presenting the facts?

Is their documentation to the facts given and is the information correct?

Is the information given proven without a shadow of a doubt or is it presumed to be correct?

Is the information “news” only partial truth mixed with presumption? Itchy ears look for ways to support their own beliefs or selfish ways. As we have seen through the years news can be either “fake news” or “factual news”. Truth that is not factual is just that “news” “information” not necessarily truth.

Absolute Truth is God and His Word. Experiencing the truth will take accepting the facts, the truth. Jesus stated in God’s Word that He was the way, truth and life. When you experience and accept Jesus in your life you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

The very TRUTH of the matter in my opinion is derived from our own experiences and accepting the truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ in us as a believer.

Let me say, TRUTH comes from God. The TRUTH of the Gospel is always there to whom will believe and comes from God through the working of the Holy Spirit. The Bible has been proven TRUTH through the years with prophecy being fulfilled time after time in both the Old and through out the New Testament.

Facts, truths of the Bible has been proven through the ages with documents and artifacts and the written Word of prophecy found to become a reality. The truth of the Bible has been proven time after time to be factual and has become reality to many from generations to generations. Even today, when one believes in the Bible and applies the Gospel of Jesus Christ into their personal life there is proven to be a change in one’s life for the good.

I do have to say through my own experiences of accepting and receiving God’s Word the Bible into my own life has brought about my belief and my faith as the absolute TRUTH of who He says He is and who He says I am in Christ Jesus.

God’s Word cannot be reasoned out or compared to any other written literature for it is GOD’S WORD for yesterday, today and forever.

GOD’S WORD is His grace given to us to simply believe. It is the ONLY written literature that has held the time and has proven through the centuries to be the TRUTH of God’s Word spoken to all mankind to believe and receive.

In today’s world we are told that you will find truth in your education and in the books you read. The problem I have with this theory is that their truth usually comes from other writings in which they make known their thoughts and count them as facts.

If their “facts” were found from their own experiences there may be good reason to state this as truth, otherwise it is someone elses words based upon another person’s words. Reasoning out in and with our own sinful nature will only will bring our own selfish desires leaning on what we want to believe, not in necessarily the truth.

The Bible, God’s Word is TRUTH to all and for all. The TRUTH of the Gospel in one’s life is brought alive through believing God’s Word.

We can be sure of true knowledge when we have experienced the matter of the Gospel in our own lives. This is truly the meaning of REAL TRUTH to me. We gain head knowledge through many means but heart knowledge only comes through one way.

To experience heart knowledge (real spiritual truth) and how to live content in this world only begins when you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You will receive a new spirit, a new desire to live a life of righteousness.

I have experienced this in my life and that is a fact, a truth I cannot refute. When you decide to follow Christ, that is “to become a Christian” to accept Jesus as your personal Savior you begin to come into the truth.

The wisdom and knowledge of God through His Word (the Bible) becomes unveiled and the truth becomes known to the believer.

The Bible is God’s thoughts penned by man as a guide or you might say a manual to live by until the Lord Jesus comes back (returns) for His believers. We were all born into sin. God’s Word, the Bible shows us the way to the TRUTH and maintain our “Christian” experience.

The Christian will desire and read the written Word. To the believer the written Word becomes God’s Rhema (spoken Word) in their hearts active and alive.

As we follow (obey) the Word, it becomes the way, the truth and the life.  As you read the Word, you will be daily lead into the truth through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As God’s Word states, “the truth will set you free”.

Jesus states in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life…”. God’s Word “the Bible” is truth. To the non-believer, the Gospel is foolishness, but to the believer it is truth.

It is alive and active to the believer and as we read and study the Bible, the Holy Spirit will bring forth, revelation, truth and direction, and yes, discernment of right and wrong. The Bible has always been the sound doctrine and wholesome teaching sent from God for all God’s creation to live by.

It’s time we become serious about deception.

2 Timothy 4:3, NLT “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”

God’s Word instructs us how to destroy deception in one’s life as stated in: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NLT) “We use God’s mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil’s strongholds. With these weapons we break down every proud argument that keeps people from knowing God. With these weapons we conquer their rebellious ideas, and we teach them to obey Christ.

Not following Godly ways (morally) in our life will line us up for deception of the truth. Just as important is when one allows and make immoral, worldly (carnal) decisions in their life.

Satan will use deceptive practices to distract people. In so many cases people will follow after deceptive ways when their is only partial truth in the matter and partial false of the matter.

Knowing God’s Word is of the greatest importance. So many times we can be deceived when we reason out improper facts. We as believers can be protected from deception when we put on the armor of God as stated in Ephesians 6:10-17.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth
(belt of TRUTH), and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
(feet of Peace);
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

God’s Word IS TRUTH. When you apply God’s Word in your life the truth of the matter becomes reality. To the born-again believer God’s Word is alive and active and the TRUTH will set you free.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
