Confessing Christ In Us

My thought this morning goes to that of, confessing your Faith.

As a believer, let’s look in our own inner consciousness, what we really are in Christ; what it really means to have Jesus as the Lord of our life, in our life.

We come to the realization of the greatest miracle in our life, that of the saving knowledge of God’s miracle working power within us; sanctifying us, changing us from day to day, CHRIST IN US, the hope of glory.

It’s about time, we begin to realize whose we are and who we are in Christ. In the next few scriptures we will see just how much God loved us and we can become partakers of His Sonship because of Christ in us.

WE MUST PUT our faith in Christ Jesus, as stated in these scriptures:

  • John 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children (Greek- sons) of God.
  • John 11:52 It was a prediction that Jesus’ death would be not for Israel only, but for the gathering together of all the children of God scattered around the world.
  • Galatians 3:26 So you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
  • 1 John 5:19 We know that we are children (Greek-sons) of God and that the world around us is under the power and control of the evil one.

Today, let’s take hold of the very fact, that we are part of His righteousness, not as “a mere man” but begin to take advantage of the Divine Nature of the most Holy God.

2 Timothy 2:15 states, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Begin living the Word, practicing the Word, in our every day living,  confessing that we are what the Word says we are. The Word says I am redeemed… “In whom I have my Redemption”. Jesus Christ my Redeemer.

Yes, we are free from the grip of Satans decieving and controlling ways. “If” we are in Christ, we as believers are free indeed. Acts 17:28: “For ‘in him we live and move and have our being.

We must be a separate people, NOT living like those around us: We go to the same places. Listen to their stories and talk. We go to church, and when they preach a real-searching message and give an altar call, we usually go to the altar. We cry a little and feel mighty sorry that we haven’t done any better, but go out and go back into our old life.

And yes, we know that we have Eternal Life, for we remember way back one night, when God gave us Salvation and Eternal Life when we believed in Jesus Christ.  For a while we lived, you might say in heaven…even had a wonderful victorious life and led several people to Christ.

But as we began to live this life on our own, allowing the cares of life to encompass us and fall away from our relationship with God and the Holy Spirit we began to allow Satan’s deceptive ways to enter into our mind, soul and spirit, into our lives.

When we realize we have fallen short of God’s righteousness, we receive God’s grace and forgiveness when we repent and turn from our sinful ways.

God wants us to “daily” confess our faith and take it to heart. Dying out of self, daily, not my will but God’s will. Consecrating our-self unto God, putting off the old man and living the life of a new man, a new creature in Christ. This is what is meant to take up your cross daily.

Do you know that He is faithful and just (righteous) to forgive us our trespasses! Old things past away, all things become new. A new spirit and yes, a new mind, new thoughts, a new way of living. Christ-like, A Christian.

  • 1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.

It is God’s perfect will and desire for us to walk in the light, always confessing our faith. Walking in the Spirit is simply, following Godly ways and allowing the Holy Spirit to take reign in our lives.

This is what I would call initiating / activating the miracle of salvation in our life.

He has made you His Righteousness. Jesus said, “If a man love me, he will keep my word, and the Father and I will love him, and we will come and make our abode with him.

  • Does this really mean that He will come and live in me?
  • Wouldn’t it be wonderful if He would live in my body, so wherever I went He would be with me; He would be in me.

Yes, it is God’s desire to live in each person, through the working of the Holy Spirit; to convict, guide, direct, teach and lead us into all truth.

When we as Christians, allow the Holy Spirit to have full reign in our life, we than can say, Isaiah 41:10 has become a reality: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
