This mornings thought was written by my Son, Josh, and he writes;
One night while I was praying, I asked Jesus a few questions.
Why did you suffer and die on the cross?
Why would you put yourself through such a thing?
My eyes were opened and I saw what looked like a garden. There was a man on his knees. I listened in and he started to pray. He said,
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” He then raised his head to the sky and said, “for you my child I do this”. Then the man was taken away.
There was a flash of light and now I was standing in a room. In front of me the man was being strapped to a post. It appeared, he was going to be whipped. He closed his eyes and with each strike of the whip he said only one thing, “for you my child I do this”.
Once again there was a flash of light and now I was standing on a street. The man was carrying a cross.
He was being kicked, whipped, beaten, and spit on. Each time he was hit, spit on or beaten he said only one thing, “for you my child I do this”.
When he reached the end of the road they drove nails into his feet and hands and nailed him to the cross. Each time the hammer struck the nail he just looked to the sky and said, “for you my child I do this”.
As he hung on the cross being mocked, he turned his head and looked right at me. Tears began to stream down his cheek and he said, “for you my child I do this”.
I fell to my knees and started to weep. I closed my eyes and said,“thank you Lord”. When I opened my eyes I was sitting in my room.
Through my tears I once again thanked Jesus for his sacrifice. I heard him say, “ I did it all for you my child”.
By: Josh Lundmark – “This came more as a story than a vision. When I think about Jesus on the cross this is what I think of – it becomes like a reality.”
As always, love in Christ Jesus,
