Again, enjoying the quietness of the early morning. I turn to the scriptures with the Lord and His Word.
In Hebrews, we read how God gave to the people, a New Covenant, to receive into their hearts…for all to believe and receive by faith, given to all whom will confess and believe and become followers of Jesus Christ, the Son of the most high God.
The Old covenant was all about works, teaching the law, living by the law, do this, do that, comprised of a worldly sanctuary; materalistic and legalistic. It had become a failing covenant unto the people of Israel and the world, for no one could be made perfectly by and through the law.
God saw the need for a New Covenant, a covenant not by works alone but a new covenant that is written in the minds and hearts of the people. As quoted in Hebrews 8:-13; “I will put my laws into their minds and write them into their hearts: and I be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities (deeds) will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayed and waxeth old is ready to vanish”.
How exciting to know that we are living in such a time as this, a time of the New Covenant, a time of God’s grace to and for all mankind whom will receive. No more do we have to go through the process of sacrificing the blood of bulls and goats and the sprinkling of ashes of an heifer, for sanctification to the purifing of the flesh; but a more perfect way to become clean and our sins forgiven once and for all, through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. The cross made the way, what I mean is; through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus and through the blood of Jesus our sins and iniquities are forgiven and washed away.
No more dead works, for God had a better plan, a plan that would “seal” us forever, for eternity, through the working of the Holy Spirit in every believer, forever, in the hearts of man. “God’s grace is sufficient” and is for all whom will receive.
As always, love in Christ Jesus,
