As believers we must be ready to give the reason for our salvation.

In other words;

To believe in something is to be faithful in what you believe.

To believe is to trust. And to trust is to be faithful.

GOD IS FAITHFUL. Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.

2 Timothy 2:13, If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

Faithfulness to someone requires you to believe in that person, to trust in that person and requires your faithfulness to that person.

You might say, faithfuness is required by both parties equally alike. God has always been faithful to mankind. The question here is are we faithful to God?

So many times I have heard people state, why wasn’t God there?…God is always there…the very answer to the above question lies in us and not God. God is always faithful. God has a plan and we have to believe, trust and be faithful to Him; for the truth lies in our faithfulness to God.

God’s Word is truth to the believer. We are to believe and trust the very Word of God, and follow His ways. As we read the Word we are to trust the Word, obey the Word and apply the Word. In my opinion this is the true meaning of faithfulness to God and His Word.

Throughout the Bible are promises written to you and me as believers. If we are faithful to God we will see these promises fulfilled; for His faithfulness never ceases. They are forever. God is not a liar. He cannot lie. How great is that? God believes His Word, God trusts His Word and God is faithful to His Word.

Yes, God is the Word! Since God is the Word, you can say, God does not lie. Since God is the Word and God cannot lie, then what He says, will come to pass.

Understanding and rightly dividing the Word, comes with believing and trusting God’s Word. Rightly dividing God’s Word, is brought about with the help of the Holy Spirit, working in and through the believer.

The promises of God are yes and Amen!

NOW, the question we must answer is;  Am I faithful to God and His Word?

Again, let me say, faithfulness requires 100% commitment of both parties to see it through. God is committed, 100%…

We all must answer this question… Am I committed 100%

Are you committed 100%

Are we committed 100%

Committed means to see it through to the very end. As a believer, I receive Jesus into my heart, and am committed to God’s ways. I am faithful because of His love for me and have committed all my ways to His Word and He is faithful in all His ways to His children.

How excellent is His love and His ways! I will believe in Him, I will trust in Him and I will be faithful to Him!

One final thought; not to believe is the same as unfaithful. If we do not believe, we do not trust. If we do not trust we do not have faith. And if we do not have faith we are unfaithful to our creator, our Heavenly Father, God.

As always, live in Christ Jesus,
