The Power of Christ in the Believer

I am so thankful for the birth, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His shed blood bought my freedom through His mercy and grace. Our sins are washed away as we turn to Him for our salvation. Salvation through Jesus, bought the freedom that redeemed us of our sin and the bondage that so besets us through Satans control.

Again, let me say, Satan was defeated through the cross of Calvary from Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection. “It is finished” to the one who will believe and receive His salvation. Truly I must say, I am free by the blood and resurrection power of Jesus Christ.

As a believer, our “hope of glory” Christ in us, the Holy Spirit sealing us forever, being with Him. There is NO FEAR and NO WORRY about tomorrow, for our future is clear.  We are sealed and delivered as believers, unto a living eternity. Eternal life with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit!

Let’s begin to receive that power to do ALL things for God as the Holy Spirit directs, leads and guides. Do you desire Him? He will give you the power to witness and to be a witness, overcoming all that Satan puts in your pathway.

Remember. “Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.”

Acts 1:8 (NLT) “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

God created us for HIS pleasure. His desire is that we would be the vessel for His use. We were created to please God.

Just a couple of thoughts to ponder:

  1. What if God gave us the born again experience, to get Christ in us?
  2. What if God sent the Holy Spirit to have Christ flowing through us and out of us with power/ authority and boldness, to be a witness and testify of Christ in us.

Acts 2:1 – 4 (NLT) On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And every one present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

Yes, after the disciples’ and believers received the Holy Spirit, they began to do miracles in the name of Jesus.

ALWAYS REMEMBER, the most important thing on God’s mind is the salvation of every human being. He does not want anyone to be lost but He has also given us ALL free will.

The only way to be with God in Heaven is by choosing Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We must choose Jesus for salvation if we are to be with Him forever. There is only one way to God and that is through His Son, Jesus.

Won’t you take time out right now to spend a few moments and pray, speak to God? If you have not made Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior please take a few moments right now to accept Him into your heart. Making  Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior by asking Him into your heart will be an eternal decision.

We are not powerless when Jesus and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our being. Give Jesus your all; your mind, your emotions and your will. The very power that resurrected Jesus brings new life in our body, spirit and soul.

With Jesus and the Holy Spirit taking up residence in us we do not have to fear for “greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. “

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
