08/7 – Who Christ is to Me

In today’s daily thoughts you will find some powerful quotations about the person of Christ. Previously, I have written on abiding in Christ. The Bible has many valuable scriptures that we need to take to heart.

When we take these and many other quotations to heart and make them OUR very own, the Word of God, the Bible comes alive and active in our daily life. Here are some great insights to keep us “abiding in Christ”:

  • Christ is our Way; we walk in Him (John 14:6)
  • He is our Truth; we embrace Him (John 1:14; 14:6)
  • He is our Life; we live in Him (John 14:6; Col. 3:4)
  • He is our Lord; we choose Him to rule over us (Acts 10:36; Rev. 3:14, 19:16)
  • He is our Master; we serve Him (John 13:13)
  • He is our Teacher; instructing us in the way of salvation (John 13:13)
  • He is our Prophet; pointing out the future (Acts 3:22)
  • He is our Priest; having atoned for us (1 John 2:2)
  • He is our Advocate; ever living to make intercession for us (1 John 2:1)
  • He is our Savior; saving to the uttermost (Eph. 5:23; Ti. 1:4; 3:6; 2 Pet. 2:20) He is our Root; we grow from Him (Rev.5:5; 22:16)
  • He is our Shepherd; leading us into green pastures (1 Pet. 5:4; Heb. 13:20)
  • He is our true Vine; we abide in Him (John 15:1; Acts 17:28)
  • He is the Water of life; we satisfy our thirst from Him (John 4:14)
  • He is the fairest among the thousand; we admire him above all others (Solomon 5:10)
  • He is the brightest of the father’s glory, We strive to reflect His likeness (Heb.1:3; 2 Cor. 4:6)
  • He is the upholder of all things; we rest upon Him (1 Cor. 8:6)
  • He is our Wisdom; we are guided by Him (1 Cor. 1:30)
  • He is our Righteousness; we cast all our imperfections upon Him
  • (1 Cor. 1:30)
  • He is our Sanctification; we draw all our power for holy life from Him (1 Cor. 1:30)
  • He is our Redemption; redeeming us from all iniquity (1 Cor. 1:30)
  • He is our Healer; curing all our diseases (Matt. 8:5-17)
  • He is our Friend; relieving us in all our necessities (John 15:13-15)
  • He is our Brother; cheering us in our difficulties (Heb. 2:11; Rom.8:29)

To abide in Christ is to abide in all of these truths. Just as Christ talked, walked and applied the principles of His Heavenly Father, so must we for He is in us and we are in Him…Jesus is all in all to us.

May these TRUTH’S take root in our hearts as we live our lives “IN Him”, today, tomorrow and forever. May the love of Christ be ever  brightening our way into our future, eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
