In today’s thoughts I will discuss why answered prayer becomes a powerful testimony for God and to man. What is prayer and the reason for prayer? Through answered prayer, praying becomes real and divine.
Answered prayer is our assurance that God heard our prayer. For answered prayer brings forth positive results.
Answered prayer is the sure test that you have a connection with Jesus Christ. The Lord himself spoke about this connection with Him. John 15:7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
Answered prayer is the very proof that God lives and that there is a God who is interested in his creation. Throughout the Bible there are stories of answered prayer and answers to prayer is the convincing proof of our right relationship to God.
The promise and the will of the Father are connected. The promises of God are so many times conditional. Meet the conditions and the promise will come forth.
Yes, God’s will, consist of His sovereignty and consists of our obedience to His Word. In one instance, you might say, when you are obedient to God’s decrees and commands, that of right living, you will be fulfilling His will.
In so many cases, the promises in the Bible and God’s will, are intertwined, worketh together. Praying the will of the Father, in many cases, comprises of praying the promise.
In other words, we allow the promise to take root in our spirit, as we believe and pray. As the promise takes root, it becomes a seed, in which, will grow as you pray the promise.
Many times there will be a waiting period, being patient will bring the results in many cases. When praying the promise you are praying the will of the Father.
True prayer ascends to God by the will of the promise, and the very presence of God. It is assuring to know that our prayers come back to earth answered by the promise, the truth, the power, and the love of God.
True prayer for things needed always looks directly to securing an answer…for this is truly the purpose of prayer. God always answers prayer.
True purpose of prayer will find the promise and be answered by the will of God, the promise. Prayer is the very channel by which God and man communicate.
When communicating with God through prayer we are thankful and grateful for His Word and what it means to us. His Word is alive and active to the believer.
Answered prayer is that of “hitting the mark” with God, a right relationship with God. We give our prayers and receive something in return, that of divine blessing; and God accepts our prayer through the atoning blood and gives himself, his presence, and his grace in return.
The Lord Jesus Christ gave us authority to use his name, in asking. When we ask in His name our Lord unites with the Father and secures the answer to prayer.
The Lord is committed to answered prayer when that answer is to glorify God the Father.
As the Lord stated in John 14:13, “Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” “If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” “Ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
It is God that has committed himself to us by his Word in our praying. When we give our all (the whole of us) (our will) to him we can have all of him. “Not my will, but God’s will.”
Yes, the promises are ours for the asking, in faith we believe “whatever” “anything” and “whatsoever ye ask” you may have that your joy may be full. God is specific in the scriptures which assure us that the answer the very thing for which we pray will be given.
As always, love in Christ Jesus,
