08/11 – Praying the Promise Brings the Answer

Let me say this morning, that when our will becomes God’s will, we will have God’s perfect will. Allow your spirit, to bear witness, with His spirit. In other words, when you can say, I know that I know – His will, becomes a reality.

God will give us His peace and His rest in our spirit, when we are in His will. Be assured, God will answer those that are following Godly ways.

What is it that you are in need of? Pray it according to the scriptures and you will receive it. “Ask, seek, and knock”.

Our Lord teachings were and are for today, that we may receive that for which we ask, and obtain that for which we seek, and have that door opened at which we knock.

Just as God has commanded us:

  • to pray always,
  • to pray everywhere, and
  • to pray in everything;

so he will:

  • answer always,
  • everywhere and
  • in everything.

There are NO limitations through prayer which can or will hinder the answer to prayer. God’s grace can never fail.

If I could leave you with a bit of wisdom that I used in my own life in the need for an immediate answer to prayer, would be to pray until you feel an assurance or release in your spirit of the request you have asked for.

There will be a peace and rest, yes, an assurance in your spirit that the answer is on it’s way. All that is left to do is wait patiently for the answer to be fulfilled.

God will fulfill his promises for His Word is at stake and His Word will not go void. Where His Word is involved He will continue to answer prayer to whom that truly prays.

It was recorded in Acts chapter four that they recited some things to the Lord (they prayed) ; “when they prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”

Yes, the very answer to prayer responded to their faith and prayer. When the Spirit came in; the fear was gone and the power to speak the word of the Lord with boldness was in their midst.

Jabez called on the God of Israel and God granted him the things which he had requested.

Another example of answered prayer was when Hannah was childless and requested in prayer for a man child, her request was answered as was stated in the scriptures: “For this child I prayed, and the Lord hath given me the petition which I asked of him.”

The certainty of the father’s giving is assured by the father’s relationship, and by the ability and goodness of the father. It’s time we as Christians put God to the test in prayer; as stated in Malachi, “Prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The prayer of the believer has in it an element of the supernatural, miraculous divine power of God which when put to work brings about the fulfillment of the very promises of God.

It’s time we pray expecting the very thing we ask for, the very promises of God for today; for our families, friends, fellow workers and city.

Yes, prayer that moves the hand of God which moves the mountains and circumstances AROUND US.

  • Prayer is simply, that of communion and fellowship with God.
  • Prayer is a privilege and is to be sacred, from the heart.
  • Prayer is a duty, a solemn service due God, an obligation most binding and most crucial to that of our everyday living.
  • So pray on, in everything be in a prayerful state.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
