08/18 – Walking with God

As an opening question, to this morning daily thought, let me ask you; do you know that God cares all about you? Yes, He cares ALL about YOU…so, give Him ALL your worries and cares, today!

Begin to get to know Him better. For as you get to know Him better and better, he will give you, through His great power, everything you need for living a truly good life.

To know God better, will take putting aside your own desires so that you will become patient and godly, allowing God to have His way with you.

Walking with God is simply, putting aside your own desires and allowing His plan to be unvailed in your life. Putting aside your own desires will help you enjoy God, other people and to like them. You will get to know them as you build a relationship.

When we put aside our own agenda and walk with God it will bring about God’s will for you and me.  You will grow to love God and friends in your life, deeply, growing stronger spiritually and becoming fruitful and useful to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Just as a side note; in doing life, building good and strong relationships, will also take putting aside our own agendas and listening to the other person. Being attentive to what they say, will open the doorway to meeting there needs and it will show that you care for them.

So many times,, relationships go bad because it becomes a one sided relationship, all about you.

Sometimes we have to be willing to put aside our own agendas and ideas and be attentive to the other person. Good relationships are only built on a two side relationship.

Normally a one side relationship is all about yourself, what you are accomplishing, what you are doing and what you want for yourself. The other person is pushed aside feeling neglected and not important.

Yes, God cares about you. Do you care about Him. He is speaking, are you listening? When we pray, ask and seek God, we also must take time to listen to God. If we do not pay attention when He speaks we will miss out on what God is saying and fall into the trap of all about what you want.

Don’t be mistaken, God has a plan for you and it will only be fulfilled when we are listening.

As a born again person, “Christian” we are now called a child of God. As a child of God we can be assured that;

He cares about EVERYTHING we do.

He cares all about your body, soul and spirit. He is your healer for whatever ails you. Do you believe this?

  • 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

1 Peter 1:14 – 15 (NLT) So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.

Why do you obey God? You should obey God because it is a privilege to obey Him knowing that you are His child.

Isn’t it exciting to know that God is not up there looking down on you waiting for you to make a mistake? This makes me want to love God even more and be obedient to Him as my Father and friend.

As you get to know God day by day, you become aware that He is not only in you but He is walking beside you through life. My heart jumps with excitement knowing that God Himself loves me that much to personally watch over me.

Yes, I am His child and He is my Father!

This is my prayer, may you make it yours… “Thank You, Father for personally inviting me to be your child. I love you, for how could I ever disappoint you as your child.”

  • 1 Peter 1:18 – 19 (NLT) For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

Yes, God paid a ransom for you and me. He took you and me off the wide road that leads to hell, the wrong road and placed us on the straight and narrow road that leads to heaven and a life with Him for eternity. How could I want to do anything else but serve, love and appreciate Him? What a loving Father!

  • 1 Peter 1:23 – 25 (NLT) For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
