The Jesus I Know

May today’s thoughts reinforce that the Bible is more than just a good Book. The Bible is both the (Logos) written WORD of God and the (Rhema) spoken WORD of God.

Yes, the Bible is both creative and active to the one who believes and applies it in and to their everyday life.

As we go through the WORD it is my desire and hope that you will receive understanding of God’s very WORD, and that it will come alive and bring healing to your life and knowledge of who Jesus is.

Let’s look at a few scriptures that will show us who Jesus is. Jesus – The Word of God –

  • John 1:1 (NLT) In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • Revelation 19:13 (NLT) He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. Jesus is – the Bread of life –
  • John 6:33 (NLT) “The true bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
  • John 6:35 (NLT) Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. “

Jesus is – the Way, the Truth, the Life –

  • John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” Jesus (Christ) – who is to be your life –
  • Colossians 3:4 And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

What are you looking for in this life? The Christian life is different because we as Christians are called to be different, “Christ like”.

We are not of THIS world but we are IN this world. Jesus came to give us life and life MORE abundant!

With this in mind let me ask you again…

What in life are you looking for?

Are you looking for security in earthly treasure or security for life everlasting, (Eternity).

To me the Christian life is a life of excitement, adventure, love, daring, the unusual, freedom from boredom, challenge, and a life that’s different. Jesus came to give you all this and more!

Turn your life over to Jesus and give Him the reins and see what will happen. It truly is a fabulous way of living. As David states in Psalms 37:4 (NLT) Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

Jesus said, “I’ve got the answer”. No matter what your situation is or your problems are, Jesus has the answer. Maybe right now you are going through problems in life that seems unbearable. Jesus cares about you and what is happening to you.

It is my hope as you go through my daily thoughts, you will begin to see the importance of reading the Bible. For the WORD of God has the answer for every situation and problem in life.

Let’s begin today to open the Book and hear what God has to say. The Bible, the Word of God is the most precious and treasured book in my library. It is from this very Book that I receive direction in my everyday living.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
