Simplicity of the Gospel

This morning as I am enjoying my ā˜• of coffee, I am reminded in Romans chapter 1, vs. 18 – 32 of the very nature and knowledge of God that is instinctively instilled in every person. God has placed this knowledge in every heart.

For those who refuse to believe in God, their Creator, Jesus their Savior and the Holy Spirit as their helper in this life, best think again.

Romans 1: Verse 20, ” From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

Verse (21) Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. The result was that their minds became dark and confused.

Verse (22) Claiming to be wise, they became utter fools instead.

Verse (23) And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worship idols made to look like mere people, or birds and animals and snakes.”

How true in today’s world. Just look around. Evilness and immorality is lurking around every corner.

“Claiming to be wise, they became utter fools instead.”

Judgement day is coming…Romans 2, Vs. (7), “He will give eternal life to those who persist in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. Vs (8) But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and practice evil deeds.”

Verse (13) sums it up so simple…”For it is not merely knowing the law (Gods Word) that brings God’s approval. Those who obey the law (Gods Word) will be declared right in God’s sight.”

Obedience can only come through receiving the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and the power, working of the Holy Spirit in the believers life.

Freewill was and is given to all. You can and will choose one or the other…

…heaven or hell…
…good or evil…
…life or death…life forever with Jesus or eternal damnation…

Simply put; you choose Jesus, the way, the truth and the life, eternal life or Not to choose Jesus, a life without God and eternal damnation.

I have chosen Jesus, and a relationship with God and the Holy Spirit residing in my life.

This changed heart can only be produced by God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit. We in ourselves cannot and will not change for we were born into sin and are in need of a Savior.

The Holy Spirit resides in every believer continually drawing us closer to our Creator, God. It was and is Gods divine plan to have a relationship with all people and He has given us the way to have this relationship and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit.

It truly is a simple plan, the simplicity of the Gospel.

God’s plan of salvation is simply to repent, turn from our wicked ways, believe and place our trust in the saving power of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Father, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit will take up residence in us. The very wisdom of God will become clear in all we do as we are directed and guided by the Holy Spirit.

With this said, if we would let the simplicity of the Gospel of Jesus Christ take root we will began to build this relationship with God our Father and with His Spirit as the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth over shadowing us until His return.

I am so thankful of the simplicity of the Gospel. Gods saving grace through Jesus Christ to whom will believe.

To sum it up; you receive by believing in Jesus by faith. God knows the heart of every person.

Have a blessed day,
as always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
