Let me begin today’s thought by saying; when there is no rain, all living things eventually die. We were created with the need of the refreshing of rain to bring life and continue life.
Just as in our own lives, there will be times of dry spells but we can be assured, as we seek God in times of dryness and trouble, He can and will be found. Yes the Holy Spirit will come into your soul and spirit and refresh the very spirit of your soul, mind and body.
Yes, the rain of the Spirit of God will always bring a freshness to the heart and soul of the one who seeks God. Just as the light of the Son will penetrate the darkness in the heart and very soul of man.
As the Psalmist states, in Psalm 9:9-10, “The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee”.
As we ask, seek and knock, our Lord and Savior will hear us and the door will open and His light will shine in. Yes, darkness will fade as the light of the Son shines in.
Darkness and oppression will fade as we turn to the light of Christ Jesus; for darkness cannot stay when light arises. There will be troubles in this life but fear not for Christ has overcome and we can place out trust (faith) in Him for He is our strong tower in times of need.
Yes, darkness cannot and will not stay where there is light.
I find the very truth of the matter in regards to where our help comes from. God must be in our thoughts, our minds and in the workings of our heart.
In summary, Psalm 10:2-11 describes the wicked (or ungodly) man and his deeds. He is proud, fawning, atheistic in behavior, devious, stubborn, profane, hurtful, and deceptive.
Verse 7 states it clearly, “His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity”.
Oppression and darkness arises as we get away from placing our total trust in our Savior. We in ourselves can and never will overcome oppression, troubles and the darkness of sin.
Oppression and darkness fades as we are in Christ “we are more than overcomers”. Christ must be our focus and purpose in life.
In other words, our thoughts, our mind and our heart must align up with God’s Word.
The question we must ask ourselves, What is my motive, my attitude in the matter?
I believe every wrong starts with the mind, our thoughts, our motive and our attitude.
We must put off, put out of our thoughts and mind, do not dwell on anything that is not of good report.
If allowed in our thoughts and mind these bad attitudes and motives will penetrate the very heart of man. The heart reflects the very soul of man.
Christ came to change our sinful hearts and will do so if we stay in Christ. Christ must stay first in our thoughts and minds for here cometh our attitudes and motives which will penetrate our hearts and into our very souls.
Thank God for the refreshing of His Word and the working of the Holy Spirit. It is like that of the morning rain, refreshing to the heart and renewing of the soul.
Well I guess I best be going for now, be blessed and refreshed in the Spirit of the Lord.
As always, love on Christ Jesus,
