Christ-centered Life

Another beautiful and lovely morning. I have truly enjoyed these early morning times outside with God and His Word. It is so refreshing.

On to today’s thoughts, I am reminded in Jude that we are to be aware of those who are walking after their own lusts, desires that of being self centered.

There is much teaching and talk in todays society, promotion of “self-image”, “self-esteem”, and “self-love”. These teachers / counselors, DO NOT have the “spirit of God”, for the “the spirit of God” exalts Christ and not self.

In Christ we are to live, move and have our being. It should never be about, “me” but all about Christ in us the hope of glory. We are to be “in” this world but not “of” this world. We are not to attach ourselves to the world ideas and ungodly deeds, which are so self-centered with desires of worldly practices.

God has stated “to separate” ourselves from all forms of worldliness and ungodliness. This includes anything that would bring us into a self-love, self-esteem life style, such as our modern age of sexual promiscuity and “gay pride”.

We are now seeing “Christian” theological and pastoral leaders supporting this movement which we can see as the fulfillment of the prophetic prophecy of the last times. People will be deceived by these worldly pleasures and be entangled into these abominations for themselves.

As I have stated earlier a few days ago, we as believers, followers of Jesus Christ: must stay grounded and rooted in the very teachings of Christ Jesus and be obedient to the very Word of God.

God’s Word must become settled in our mind, spirit and body. This will only come from a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, personally.

Growing in our faith comes through prayer, hearing, reading and study of the Word; for as stated in the Bible, “thy Word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against thee”. We must follow the guidience of the Holy Spirit and follow his direction; for he will lead us into all truth.

Because of God’s “free-will given to all mankind” we choose whom we will follow, the god of this world, satan, or the God and creator of the universe and the one who will judge our souls, our Heavenly Father, God, and His Son, Jesus Christ.

May we be that vessel that God intended us to be, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, flowing through us. May we say, not my will, not my way; but God’s way and His will.

Again, let me say, we choose daily whom we will serve, may it be the risen Christ in us. This is Gods plan for all mankind to whom will believe and receive.

Lastly, when Christ is in us we have the very maker of our souls in us, God our Heavenly Father. Let’s not stray away from the very teachings of what was given to us long ago by the one who can give us eternal life.

God bless you all on this day and may tomorrow bring you much joy and happiness as we live a life in the Holy Spirit.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark
