The Great “I AM”

I am so greatful for theses early morning moments with God…Him and I alone together; outside in his creation, such beauty cannot be told in human words alone! What a blessing!

As spoken from the very mouth of Jesus in John 5:39, speaking of the Old Testament scriptures, for there were no New Testament scriptures at that time. “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me.”

The scriptures (written Word) of both the Old and New Testament, testifies both of the coming Christ and of our now living Christ. The scriptures in themselves will not save anyone; but believing and receiving in ones heart this Word given by God and spoken by Christ in the New Testament can and will transform a person: for it has a way to transcend from the “Written Word” to the “Rehma Word” to the heart of the beholder and believer.

It is by Gods grace and faith in the risen Savior that salvation comes into the believers life.

Yes, His Word is alive and active to the hearer, beholder and believer. As we hear and read the Bible, His Word takes root in us and we begin to act upon the Word by faith: for it is and becomes truth to the beholder. In Christ there is EVERYTHING NEEDED for this life and the life hereafter, eternity.

If you are struggling in areas of your life today; be it physical/emotional or spiritual, let me encourage you to go to the Bible and find those promises you need for this day.

Go to your Heavenly Father in prayer (in faith) believing that your Savior Jesus Christ cares for you in every situation. What is it you are in need of for HE is our help in times of need. Again, let me say, HE HAS THE VERY ANSWER THAT YOU ARE IN NEED OF!

As a believer the Holy Spirit, the very Spirit of God resides in us but it will take our part, that of asking and believing by faith to receive what we need. God’s Word the Bible confirms who Jesus Christ is for us today.

Here are just a few scriptures to bring about these affirmation of the saving grace and power of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

In His very own words, Jesus stated in John 6:35, “I AM the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

In John, Jesus gives us seven great “I AM” claims.

John 8:12: “I AM the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

John 10:9: “I AM the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out , and find pasture.”

John 10:11: “I AM the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

John 11:25: “I AM the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

John 14:6: “I AM the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 15:1: “I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.”

There are many more scriptures throughout the Bible that affirms His diety, but these statements even in themselves asures us of Christs diety and complete ability to save and reign.

We are made complete in Christ Jesus, what a wonderful thought and a great reality!

As always, love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark
