Thank you God for this day.
In my morning reading from God’s Word, I read in Romans about our responsibilities as Christians, toward God. Let’s look at a few this morning.
We must present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your resonable (logical) service.
…We are to offer up our spiritual sacrifices to God, that of praise and worship. We are to renew our minds to be in harmony with and guided by the mind of Christ in us.
As much as possible; prayer, praise and worship should take place throughout our day. Prove what is good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
…we have responsibilities toward society. God has given all a measure of faith…use this faith for God’s purpose. The spiritual gifts that God gives are, to be used for his purpose and in proportion of your faith.
These gifts are distributed by the Holy Spirit as needed. These gifts are not something we can learn or drum up but we are to ask, seek, desire and wait on these gifts given from God and distributed by the Holy Spirit. These gifts will be distributed as we ask, seek and expect to be used as a vessel or you might say, as an instrument for God’s use. Faith in God’s Word will bring great and mighty results.
These gifts are strickly given for the building up of the body of Christ, “the Church” and not for our own purpose, agenda or gain.
…we have responsibilities toward the higher powers. Our souls are subject to God. Do not resist the power of God and the power of Christ working in you as a believer. The Holy Spirit lives in the believer to be a living testamony of Christ in us. The Holy Spirit was given to us to work in and through us.
Are you available and are you willing to allow the very presence of God, His Spirit to come alive in you? Yes, the very power of God working, moving in the believer.
Do that which is good, love one another. Walk honestly. “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ (walk in, be filled with His Spirit) and make no provision for the flesh to fulfil the lusts thereof.”
Our spirit, soul and body are subjected to our Creator and no part of our body, including our mind should be allowed any place for the devils workshop.
Keeping our mind and thoughts on God’s righteousness, purity/holiness in both thought and deed will bring out God’s favor and yes, God’s will in one’s life.
…principles of Christian liberty (freedom). Be not critical of new believers. We are free to formulate our own convictions about certain things in our own individual life but be not critical to other believers and place your convictions on them unless the things they are doing are specifically prohibited in the Word of God.
We are not to make arguments and criticism over what we should eat, drink and the various problems facing today’s society in an individuals life. It is not for us to judge, that is for God and the Holy Spirit to bring conviction in their personal life. You might say this is why we call it a personal relationship.
As always, love in Christ Jesus,
