A New Beginning

As I take a moment and open my ears to the early morning sounds of the beginning of a new day, I am at awe of God’s greatness and of His created world; which comprises of two dimensions: that of the created world and the redeemed world.

As stated in Ephesians 2:10, “for we are his workmanship (things that are made), created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” This “workmanship” you might say, are God’s divine “poems” written by the Creator, our Creator. He has created for us “a new nature” to live a life of “good works” as stated in verse 10, instead of by “the desires of the flesh and of the mind”.

How exciting to know that we are living in such a time as this “a new nature” if we choose to live in it. A life in Christ Jesus, is choosing a life where we can be close to God, our Creator, “by the blood of Jesus”, a new creation. Ephesians 2:14, “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.”

Through Christ, He has breached the gap between the Jew and the Gentile, abolishing in his flesh, the enmity (division), that of living by the law of commandments contained in ordinances. You could say, God made a way for us to have a new nature, making peace with man, a holy temple, or as a dwelling place where he can reside. We as believers (followers of Christ) are to be that dwelling place that God has created. A relationship that God so desires and planned for His creation.

Ephesians 2:21-22, “In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit”.

This is truly the mystery of the Church, for we are the Church, the “habitation of God through the Spirit”. This is where we can see the Godhead come together through salvation and prayer. For we have access to the Father only through faith in the Son and by the implementation work of the Holy Spirit. The three worketh together as one. How exciting to be a part of this new creation.

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
