Obedience Brings God’s Favor on the Scene

Throughout the centuries God gave man comands to follow and to bring us to him. God’s commands were meant to follow without exception.

Psalm 119:21 You rebuke those cursed proud ones who wander from your commands.

Daniel 9:11-16 All Israel has disobeyed your law and turned away, refusing to listen to your voice. “So now the solemn curses and judgments written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out against us because of our sin. You have done exactly what you warned you would do against us and our rulers… Every curse written against us in the law of Moses has come true. All the troubles he predicted have taken place. But we have refused to seek mercy from the LORD our God by turning from our sins and recognizing his truth. The LORD has brought against us the disaster he prepared, for we did not obey him, and the LORD our God is just in everything he does”.

“O Lord our God, you brought lasting honor to your name by rescuing your people from Egypt in a great display of power. But we have sinned and are full of wickedness. In view of all your faithful mercies, Lord, please turn your furious anger away from your city of Jerusalem, your holy mountain. All the neighboring nations mock Jerusalem and your people because of our sins and the sins of our ancestors”.

Proverbs 28:27-28 Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing. But a curse will come upon those who close their eyes to poverty. When the wicked take charge, people hide. When the wicked meet disaster, the godly multiply.

Recognize your wrong (disobedience), Repent and determine in your mind (heart) to keep a right relationship at all cost!

Remember, satan came to rob, steal and destroy your life, your joy and happiness; ultimately causing death, eternal death.

Jesus came to give you peace of mind, joy and happiness in this life; a life ultimately resulting in eternal life with Him and God your Heavenly Father. Blessings and favor comes to those who have made Jesus their Lord and Savior. And those who have made Jesus Christ their Lord has crucified their flesh by loving and obeying their Savior, Jesus, with their whole heart; their whole body, mind, soul and spirit.

It is exciting to know the love and forgiveness of our Savior and Lord.

Deuteronomy 30:2-16 “If at that time you return to the LORD your God, and you and your children begin wholeheartedly to obey all the commands I have given you today, then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes…The LORD your God will cleanse your heart and the hearts of all your descendants so that you will love him with all your heart and soul, and so you may live!…“This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand or perform. It is not up in heaven, so distant that you must ask, ‘Who will go to heaven and bring it down so we can hear and obey it?’ It is not beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear and obey it?’ The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it.”

Curses are brought into one’s life by deliberating sinning… enjoying worldly pleasures and not turning from sin when recognizing the sin.

Isaiah 66:3-4 But those who choose their own ways, delighting in their sins, are cursed…Their offerings will not be accepted. I will send great troubles against them—all the things they feared. For when I called, they did not answer. When I spoke, they did not listen. They deliberately sinned—before my very eyes—and chose to do what they know I despise.”

Know sin must be repented of and we must turn from them. God is a just and loving God! The truth of the Gospel, His Word is for all to follow. His promises are for every believer!

As always, love in Christ Jesus,
Paul Lundmark
