Be Prepared

During this morning reading I read in Ephesians Chapter 6 about being strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. As I look into this Chapter, I am reminded of the necessity of being aware of our surroundings that of the physical and spiritual. Let me explain.

The devil will use all types of “strategy” deceiving many for he can appear as “an angel of light” and yet is “a roaring lion”…seeking whom he may devour. We in ourselves are no match for him. We can ONLY stand against him if we are “strong in the Lord” (Ch. 6: v10) and wear “the armour of God”.

Satan will deceive believers in believing that because of their born- again experience they have been given all things; protection, prosperity, and total healing of their body. It can be concieved that because Christ, the Holy Spirit and God is in us we now have it all.

God has given all mankind a freewill both the non-believer and the believer alike. With that said, we as believers do have Christ in us and the Spirit of God leading and guiding us into all truth and this is where the freewill of the Christian can become confusing if not prepared and following (righteousness – right living).

We still must go to God in faith, asking and believing for what we need.  Yes, the promises that God has provided for our healing and in our circumstance are for us to receive.

Don’t misunderstand this, as a born- again believe, because of Christ we do have access to the promises of God and His Word…for they are for the believer to receive by faith but it is still the ownership of God and still the one that works in and through us by the working of His power through the Holy Spirit. It is to be understood that “Christ is in us” as a believer but it will take our part “freewill” in overcoming the “wiles” strategies of the devil for he is the god of this world and the deciever of the whole world.

Their are two things satan will try to do to the believer if we are not prepared.

Satan will cause us to doubt God’s Word and then to disobey it. This is why it is crucial to be prepared spiritually for the enemy, by “putting on the whole armour of God”.

God bless, as always,
Love in Christ Jesus,
