The Father’s Will for YOU! – October 31

This morning I am so grateful for my Fathers love. God is a merciful and a loving God. God has given us His will for all to follow but because of our own selfishness we so often miss His will for our lives.

Yes, many has left this world without being in the Father’s will. It is my prayer that all who reads this letter will better understand His will for your life.

So let me begin by stating, the Bible (God’s Word) is the infallible Word of God. So you might say the Bible is God’s blueprint for life given to man to believe, to follow and to obey. God said it, we are to believe it and obey (do) it.

As I continue in the book of Matthew, I have come to the conclusion to what is God’s complete will for you and me. It is found in Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus states, vs 21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”. vs. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name done many wonderful works? vs 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from, ye that work iniquity”.

This is a sobering thought, for by this one statement we can conclude that not only pagans but there are PROFESSING Christians that are unsaved, for other statements also read of many false Prophets, Teachers, and Ministers alike who are unsaved, deluded, leading people to follow a false Christ. Notice in verse 22; Jesus states, they had “done many wonderful works” and in verse 23, Jesus says, “I never new you” in other words, they were never saved, for He never new them. See also, Luke 6:46, Romans 2:13, John 5:24, John 7:17.

…it is to believe the Word and obey the Word. Yes, the Father’s will is 1st to believe and then to obey the Word for in this is revealed His (perfect) will.

In other words, we cannot do one without the other. Let me be quite frank with you. As we believe in the finished work of Christ and believe in the Word, you also have to obey the Word, apply the Word or you might say be a doer of the Word. We will miss His will for our life when we leave any part of the above statement out of our life. This in itself is the very will of the Father for your life and mine.

As always, Love in Christ Jesus,

Paul Lundmark
