January 5: There is Two WORLDS

This morning, my thoughts go to the two worlds that make up earth. There is the world of good and the world of evil. Today’s writing is a bit lengthy, but I could not find a way to let my pen down. The thoughts came, and my pen kept writing. We were born into sin, consisting of a sinful nature.  The sinful lifestyle falls into the bad or, you can say, the evil side of the world, controlled by Satan. GOD has provided a way to live a life of righteousness, and it comes through His Son, Jesus.

Many will try to ride the fence of good and evil. There is good and there is bad. There is no in between, no gray area of sin. Sin is sin as stated in the Bible. Sin in one’s life must be dealt with. The only way to deal with sin is to walk away from it and turn away from it. In yourself, this is impossible. But through Jesus, all things are possible. Jesus is our salvation.

When we give our lives to Jesus, He becomes our Lord and Savior. A new life, spiritually begins, a life of good and not bad. We repent of our sin and our unrighteousness. We ask God to forgive us and ask Jesus into our hearts. When we are determined to follow Jesus and turn from our sin, the shed blood of Jesus washes away our sin. We are made new in Christ Jesus. He gives us a new spirit of righteousness and new desires to do what is right and good.

We have a choice to choose the good or the bad. We freely choose good or evil; right or wrong. Because of our sinful nature, we so many times choose the bad, or you might say, we make the wrong decisions. Jesus came to give us a life of right living, a lifestyle of good. Satan is all about evil and will imitate and portray a life of good for a season and eventually brings death to whom he deceives.

Let me state it this way, sinful ways so many times can bring joy for the moment, but it does not last and afterward comes with regretful circumstances and depression. Sin always brings destructive consequences and brings death to our spiritual being. Sin always separates us from God. The importance of repentance of any sin to the believer when realized is a must for the forgiveness of the sin and to be brought back into a loving relationship with God.

Apostle Paul states that we are to strive for a sinless life. This sinless life can only come from the blood of a sinless person. Jesus Christ was and is the only sinless person, and His blood will wash away our sins when we believe in Him, God’s only plan of salvation. By realizing our sin and placing our trust in Jesus and through His finished work on the cross of Calvary, has once again brought man to God and bridged the gap between man and God.

Jesus is our salvation. What happened through the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior has brought about the forgiveness of our sins, and through His shed blood, we have been made clean. How assuring it is to know that through His resurrection as believers and followers of Jesus, we are guaranteed eternal life with Him. With this assurance comes peace of mind that surpasses our own understanding.

An important thought for all to ponder on is that of the non-believer, one that has not received the born-again experience. There is no conviction of sin in the heart of the non-believers. Through obedience to the law and the teachings of right and wrong, we do follow many good and moral ways, but the sin nature is still prevalent in our lives as a non-believer. The real change and the convicting power of the Holy Spirit becomes noticeable and evident through the born-again experience.

Romans 3:23-26, For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus (NLT). The non-believers do not realize sin as sin. Satan has blinded their hearts and eyes for it will take a new spirit and the blood of Jesus to bring us into the realization of our sin and a right relationship with God our Heavenly Father.

In other words, the conviction of their sinfulness is not brought to life in them until they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The preached Word does bring the realization of sin in one’s life, but not until one accepts the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ personally will he see it manifested in his spirit and life. When we accept Jesus for who He is in our life, the Savior of our soul, we receive a new spirit that brings to light our sinful nature, a conviction of right and wrong, good and evil.

I am thankful for a Christian family and leaders of the church who has helped direct me in the right direction when I was young but the greatest help came from making a commitment for myself and asking Jesus into my heart and making Christ my Lord and Savior. The decision to follow God and His Word has truly been an everlasting experience. At a young age, I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, realizing my sinful nature and repenting of any known sins and turned from them and received His righteousness.

It has been a life of choices, daily choosing the way of Christ, surrendering, and committed to Godly ways. I thank God for His convicting power of the Holy Spirit and His forgiveness when I have repented from my wrongdoing. This is what is meant to take up your cross and follow Christ daily. This is to be the life of “a Christian”. The daily walk with Him, expecting His soon return.

This one act of obedience has helped shape my life as a believer of Jesus Christ for I have had the help of the Holy Spirit as my comforter and friend leading me to the truth of good and bad, good and evil.

With a new spirit given me through the born-again experience, I have new desires to live a Godly life. I still have to make the decision to take up my cross daily and follow Christ. Because of our free will, choosing God and His ways will always be a choice. We can be assured, as believers, that the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are always with us, helping us to make the right decisions as we choose to follow Him daily.

I have found through the years that prayer and reading His Word, the Bible, on a regular basis has been my greatest help on staying on that narrow road to Heaven, or you might say into Eternity. We are never to give into the old nature, the carnal nature that can so deceive us. The Bible, you might say, is the manual for living our life in Christ and gives us direction of good and evil, right and wrong. Yes, the Bible is our instruction manual for living and maintaining a life of righteousness in Christ as a believer. As believers, we receive the righteousness of Christ and maintain and build our relationship through His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit working in us.

We are NOT to take part in any part of evil and immoral activity; be it the occult, satanic things, watching movies of immoral and evil in nature, getting involved in mysticism or so-called ghosts and satanic spiritual rituals. Again, let me say we are not to be found in any part of evil. When we choose Christ as our Lord and Savior, He gives us a new spirit, a new life in Him, resulting in choosing daily to live a life of righteousness in Christ Jesus. As stated in Acts 17:28, for in him, we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are His offspring (NLT). Our life is to be focused on the Kingdom of God; for in Christ, we are to live, move, and have our being. Our life, thoughts, mind, and spirit are to be IN God the Almighty and in Him ONLY. Living a life of Godliness.

There are only two worlds, the world of GOOD or the world EVIL. There is the good, Almighty GOD of the universe and the evil god of this world, SATAN. There is either HEAVEN or HELL. Truly all have a choice to choose one of these two worlds. When you choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are set free from the bondage of sin, sin that is all around and surrounds us. Jesus came to set us free from our sin nature and the bondage that so entangles us. Accepting Him into your heart will do just that. Your sins are forgiven, and you receive a new spirit, a new life.

Your desires are of the good, you choose the Almighty God, and you choose eternity in Heaven. Yes, you choose the world of good over the world of evil. By not choosing Jesus you continue in your sinful nature. Your sinful nature is controlled by Satan, the god of this world. You are a servant to your sin. You will be controlled by sin under the bondage of your sinful nature.

Simply put, make your decision today to choose Jesus, and you will be forever grateful for a life of freedom in Christ, a peace that surpasses your own understanding. When you choose Jesus, you are choosing a relationship with your Heavenly Father, God, and the Almighty God of the universe. You are choosing good over bad and good over evil.
