My morning thoughts go to our words, which are either negative words or positive words. Jesus spoke positive words which created life in all situations for the positive. Another way to look at this is positive words bring faith to life. The Word of God is built upon the truth and when we speak truth it brings up the positive which shows and builds faith in our words.
Yes, in some ways, we can have what we say. Either negative or positive! Negative words cause negative responses. Negative words spoken lower our faith, but positive words bring encouragement and build faith. Speaking positive words, build up and encourage those around, especially speaking and believing the promises of God.
The promises of God are to be believed, taken by faith, as already done. Yes, His promises will not fail to those who believed. Of course, there are times when we may feel the need to speak the truth of the matter, which may come across as a negative response. But I believe we should always try to come back with a positive response if all possible.
Love is to be in all we do. We must ask ourselves. What we are saying and doing, does it uplift God and His purpose? Is it for our own selfish purpose or truly to help the other person? Our motives are very important. Again, love is to be in all things. With that said, we must always speak in a truthful way. Again, sometimes, if we have nothing good to say, it may be better to say nothing at all. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing than to speak negative words. As believers, we are to be encouraging and uplifting our family and friends in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
When IN HIM or in Christ, we are provided ALL that is needed, for this life…for truly IN CHRIST means: Holding fast to our confessions…the confession of faith (belief) in the Lord Jesus Christ…
the confession of faith in our Heavenly Father…and the confession of faith in the Word of God.
Hebrews 4:14, So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe (NLT). When we place our complete trust (faith in our Heavenly Father, and when we pray in like manner, it becomes as a believing prayer which taps into God’s power to accomplish the humanly impossible (see Mark 10:27, Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God (NLT). Jesus exhorted His disciples to believe that they had already received whatever they requested in prayer. Faith accepts it as good as done even though the actual answer is still the future. Another way to look at this is to ask in faith and believe you will receive. In other words, we are to believe when we ask.
There are three factors that must work together in the answered prayer.
1st – to ask in faith.
2nd – to believe you received and
3rd – according to His will; His Word.
Jesus made this promise on the recognized assumption that the petitions/ requests must be in harmony with God’s will (see Mark 14:36; Matt.6:9-10; John 14:13-14; 15:7, 16:23-24; 1 John 5:14-15).
This enables faith to receive the answers God gives. God is always ready to respond to the obedient believers’ prayers, and they can petition Him, knowing that no situation or difficulty is impossible for Him. When we know Christ and Christ know us, we become one in Him. Relationships bring unity and unity, which brings oneness. When you and Christ are one, you can be assured of the favor and blessings from our Heavenly Father, God; for the Father will be glorified in His Son.
