As I look into the Word of God this morning, I see the very meaning of seeking God for who He is, a loving God. The true Christian now takes on a changed mind, thoughts, and actions…Yes, the very image and qualities of God himself. James 4:12, There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? (KJV)
Jesus said, a true Christian will seek God’s way of life. Matthew 6:33, But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (KJV). To seek God first – means – to put God above every thought, every desire, every need, every passion, every fear, every hope, every want we might have. Another translation says it like this and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern (Matthew 6:33 NLT).
In other words, God must be in all our dealings, consider God’s Word for advice in everything. Remember – there is a reward for true believers, not only in this life but the life after. As stated in Hebrews 11:16, But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city (KJV). There is a pay day coming to all true believers who develop God-like character, NOW.
