May 5: Time to Seek God

This morning as I reflect over the ages on the great patriarchs of Biblical times, I am convinced and can say without a doubt that the price of God’s anointing will only come through “Seeking God”.

May this letter answer the question, what does it mean to “seek God”? God is calling mankind to seek His face… Yes, seek and find the fullness of God…hear His voice…cry out to Him. David puts it like this in: Psalm 27:8, When thou saidst, seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek (KJV). Another translation reads…My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.

I believe there are certain times the Lord calls us out of our daily routine in life to “SEEK MY FACE”. The highest form of seeking God is not for personal needs…but to seek God for Himself…for who He is.

Are you hungry for God? Are you tired of being dissatisfied with your relationship with God? This calls for a time of seeking God, which is: A place of maturity…A place of breakthrough…A place of Holiness. Yes, a time and place where His anointing will flow. As we seek God for Himself, we are in pursuit of God; a place of abiding in Christ, aware of His glory within us.

There are times we must get away from our familiar places and do as Moses did…pitch your tent of familiarity outside the camp. Exodus 33:7-11, And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation And it came to pass, [that] every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which [was] without the camp. And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, [that] all the people rose up, and stood every man [at] his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle. And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood [at] the door of the tabernacle, and [the LORD] talked with Moses. And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand [at] the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man [in] his tent door. And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle (KJV).

In the natural…man is limited…there are times a person must “Seek God” for Himself. When we truly “seek God” for no other reason but to know Him…we will find Him. Let me encourage you to get alone with God for a few minutes. IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
