May 14: Prayer and Faith Works Together

May this letter bring encouragement as we talk on: Faith and Prayer move God, and only God can move mountains.  “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Matt. 21: 22.
Mark 11:22-25 Jesus has given us in Matthew chapter 21 and Mark 11, examples that of prayer – asking by faith for those things you desire; when we pray in faith will come to past.

Throughout the teachings of Jesus, we can conclude that this kind of answered prayer, as stated above, comes with a close relationship with the Lord.

When we are willing to forsake all our own desires and seek God for who He is; holy, pure, and righteous. As we desire the infilling of the Holy Spirit; we will be filled with the Holy Spirit with such a burning, hunger and desire of who God and Jesus is, in us; that we will began to see the fulfillment of the very will of God in and through our lives. Praying fervently, earnestly, from the heart…you might say, comes from an earnest, deeper relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will birth within you, within me, His burning desires during prayer, asking in faith. When you believe, you will receive the very answer you prayed for.

Yes, His will from within will be birthed. It will take nothing less than a daily walk with God through prayer, reading His Word, and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in and through us as we walk out our lives in prayer and faith. Faith is a faith that realizes a certainty that takes hold.

Pray that people’s faith does not fail them, for you can say, when faith is broken down, the foundation of spiritual life give way. In 2nd Peter, we see that faith in Christ is the very basis or foundation on which other things were to be built. Here, we see the necessity to build onto the faith we have thru prayer.

“FAITH comes by hearing, reading, and studying The WORD of GOD.” When faith is increased through His Word, we WILL see it being accomplished through PRAYER. Let’s feed our PRAYER with FAITH, faith in His Word. Faith is kept alive thru constant prayer and His Word. Faith is obedient through the word of God; for we can say that obedience helps faith and faith helps obedience. Faith acts. Faith centers itself on Christ’s abilities to do; a brokenness in prayer of our-self and complete trust in the work of Jesus Christ, Him crucified, His resurrection and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us as a believer.

The just, the believer, “shall live by faith” and that faith is not in us but only in Christ, within us. Allow these scriptures to be placed deep within your heart:

  • Romans 12:2 …be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Colossians 3:3. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  Die out to Christ daily…of all self, in our own abilities, and trust by faith in the work of Jesus in us.

To sum up Matthew 6:25-34. All our treasures are by faith in Christ Jesus…His righteousness made in us…the Father, the Son and the working of the Holy Spirit, working in us and through us, working out the will of the Father…not I, not my will…but God’s will working out in us. When faith is called upon, so often there is a time of patience before God – God’s seemingly delays in answered prayer. True faith does not grow disheartened when not answered immediately; faith takes God at His Word and waits patiently on God to fulfill His purpose and His work. So, pray on, wait on. You can not fail, for delay is often the test and the strength of faith. When patience is placed on your faith, faith gathers strength by waiting and praying. Wait on the Lord and allow Him to renew your strength!
