Ephesians 6:11-18

Jesus broke the power of sin in every believer’s life. When we accept Jesus into our lives, He breaks the power and grip of sin and “sets us free.” free from Satan and His hold on/in our lives.

  • Are you ashamed to confess Christ openly and publicly?
  • Are you willing to say, I believe Christ is the Son of God?
  • Are you willing to lay it all on the line?
  • Can you say, as much as in me, I am going with God?  I am going for God with all within me, all my mind, my will, my emotions, my soul, and my spirit. My entire body belongs to God.

Jesus overcame Satan through the Word of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit. We are no different in that sense; we will overcome Satan in our life by the blood of Jesus, through the Word of God, prayer and through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the degree that He is residing in us. Apostle Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Paul states in Ephesians 6:11 – 18 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. [NLT]

The devil Satan is counting on that we will see, the (fun and pleasure in sin). The devil is asking us to invest in something of immediate return without telling us about the risk, the outcome, and the ugly side!

Let us Pray: Heavenly Father God, today I put on the whole armor of God and follow the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will lead me this day and I will stay alert in faith as I prepare this day to walk in the Lord. Amen.
