BELIEVE, TRUST AND OBEY

Of most important today, is that we must know the doctrine of the Word of God, and to obey the Word of God. As we hear the Word and believe the Word, we then must be a doer, (or you might say to apply,) the Word into our everyday life. The key to hearing the Word of God, is whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself, as stated in John 7:17.

There are many false teachers/ preachers / pastors in this world, with many denominations and doctrines. This is where the rubber meets the road. Individually, we all will have to divide the truth rightly, as we hear the Word, and in doing so, we also must obey the Word, or you might say, be a doer of the Word.

God sent His power through the Holy Spirit, to be our guide, our teacher, and to lead us into all truth. As believers, we must follow the very leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is vital to allow the Holy Spirit to guide, direct, and lead us into all truth. The key to the truth is found in God’s Word and that of rightly dividing the Word of God.

This is one of the purposes for the Holy Spirit in your life. The Holy Spirit is the teacher of truth, guiding and leading the believer into all truth. Our spirit will bear witness with His Spirit, helping us make the right choices in life. In like manner, the Holy Spirit gives the true believer discernment to bear witness with the spirit of the Teacher, Pastor, or Minister, to let us know the truth of the Word being taught or spoken.

This is one of the reasons why all believers need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help us in times of trouble, guiding and leading the believers in the way of truth. God has given us all a freewill to choose which way to go. With God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit in our lives, working together as one. We can be assured that we will not be steered astray.

If we keep our mind, thoughts and actions following in the path of righteousness (right living,) we can be assured that on the day when Christ returns, or when it is our time to leave this earth, we will go with Him. Yes, we will be with Him, for eternity in Heaven. We can rest in peace; in our mind, spirit, and soul, that with Christ, we will be safe. God’s will for you and me, starts with the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus in your life.

If you have not been filled with the Holy Spirit, as spoken of in Acts, now is the time to ask, desire, and receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Begin to believe and have faith in God’s Word, obey God’s Word, and apply God’s Word.

Again, in this one complete sentence, above, raps up the father’s will for you and me. You cannot have one without the other, you need and must follow it all; for it is God’s will for you and me to believe God’s Word, have faith in His Word, and obey God’s Word. This is the complete package of God’s will for all mankind.

God’s ultimate will for you, is to have a relationship with Him, and for your soul to spend eternity with Him. This will only happen, through the saving knowledge of Christ in you, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. His will is revealed, through (the Bible) His Word, as it is revealed in us, through the power and working of the Holy Spirit in us.

The critical question is, are we open to the working and guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives: body, mind, and spirit. We must let go of our worldly ways, and let God have His way. Again, this will only happen with complete and total surrender, of our mind, thoughts, emotions, our spirit, and our body, to the working power of the Holy Spirit in us.

It is worthy to note, that Christ and the Holy Spirit must be in us before He can work through us. When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are in the beginning stage of God’s will; for truly, it is a lifelong commitment. It is Christ working in and through us, God’s will be working out in us.

As a (new) born-again believer, we have the Father, the Son, and His Spirit, residing in us. It is vital that as a new believer, we surrender our total body, mind, spirit, and soul, to God and the working of the Holy Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit to take complete control of your life and become completely immersed in His presence. Right now, spend some time in prayer with your Heavenly Father. Ask Him to speak to you, and be willing to be ready, to do as He asks. He will speak through His Spirit, and you must obey. This is truly the will of God; to believe His Word as He speaks, obey the Word as He speaks, and do His Word as He speaks. There can be no deviation from God and His Word.

In other words, we ask in faith, we listen in faith, we obey in faith, and we do in faith. God’s Word is the ultimate source of our belief and faith. Our life is to be a life of faith. Simply put, God says, and we obey (do).
