Again, my thoughts go to the scriptures pertaining to mankind and God. We are made in the image (likeness) of God, our creator. As the scriptures also state, God is a righteous and just God, and desires a relationship with His creation.
This relationship can only come by righteousness, that of right living, which comes only by faith through the saving knowledge of Christ in us, as we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Just as an added note, God accepts us just as we are and where we are in life. We must approach God as a sinner, for we all have sinned and come short of God. We as an individual, must willingly and freely surrender, our own old sinful life, with a repentant mind and heart, approach God for ourselves.
Yes, I approach God as I am, and believe in His Salvation plan for my individual life. It is all about placing my belief and my trust, in a risen Savior, for myself. It is about Christ Jesus, and His finished work.
Jesus shed His blood, for the forgiveness of my sins, and by His stripes I am healed. I believe by faith through His resurrection power, I will have eternal life.
As we see in the days of old, as recorded in the Old Testament, man could not live a righteous life by the law. The law did show them their sins, but the law never did make them right or clean in themselves. God saw that His creation needed a Savior, once and for all, to wash away man’s sin, by, in, and through the blood of His Son, Jesus.
Through this one act of grace, we can be forgiven of our sins and trespasses. God so loved us and gives us free will to choose the life we want to live. It is His divine will for all to come into a saving knowledge of His Son, Christ Jesus, as their Lord, Savior, and Redeemer of their souls; and have a right relationship with Him as their Father, God.
But again, God has given us freedom to choose. With this New Covenant, we can choose to be in right standing with our Creator, God. This gift to all who will receive will take that of believing in the very Word of God and not onto our own self-righteousness.
I am so glad, God has made a way for us, to be with Him for eternity, and have a relationship with Him today.
Today, the world, or non-believers, are like that of the days of Noah, living for themselves, not wanting to believe the truth of the Word of God. By living in their own delusions, their own unbelief, they have made God a liar.
In doing so, as stated in Romans 3:3, with their unbelief, they have tried to make the faith in God without effect. This is not so, this will not happen, for God is all truth; as stated in verse 4; God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar, as it is written, that thou mightiest be justified in thy sayings, and mightiest overcome when thou art judged.
Through the law is the knowledge of sin, or the recognition of sin; as stated in Romans 3:23-24; For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (KJV).
