SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL

Today’s thought of thankfulness, for all those who are Spreading Good News of the Gospel.

– I thank God for the teacher of the Gospel – for
I was 10 years old, when I was invited to VBS that summer, where a teacher shared and taught the Gospel. It was a week of fun, games, and teaching about Jesus and the Gospel; in which I came forward and gave my heart to Jesus and asked Him to be my Savior. Yes, I became a born-again believer, a Christian.

– I thank God for the Evangelist of the Gospel – for it was during a weeklong revival, in my mid-forties, that I received the infilling of the Holy Spirit, as He taught on the necessity of the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

That was the week I came to God with an expectation, an anticipation, for more of God. Yes, as the Evangelist preached with such an anointing, there was such a stirring within me, a desire, a hunger for what Jesus said, all believers needed, after they became born-again, the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

This was that, and I wanted that. During the prayer times at the altar, the Holy Spirit moved with power and might, forever changing my spirit, mind, thoughts, and soul. It was after that Revival there became within me a boldness to share the Gospel to those in my life, work, and along my pathway.

– I thank God for the Preacher of the Gospel – for without the Preacher. How could anyone know of such a Gospel.

As stated in Romans 10:13-15, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things! (KJV).

– I thank God for the Pastor who preaches the Gospel – for without the Pastor (the Shepard), there would be no Shepard of the flock, and the flock would go astray.

I have been under the guidance of a pastor all my life, and I am thankful for their teaching and the Shepard of the flock in which God has sent their way.

For the above reasons, and I am sure, I could list many more reasons to be thankful for those sharing the Gospel. Yes, the Teacher, the Evangelist, the Preach and the Pastor, has made an impact on, and in my life, and for that I am very grateful.

I am thankful for those who share the Gospel. May you always be ready and willing: to Share God, Share love, and Share life.

My personal experience encounter with a Messenger Angel. Several years ago, I was delivering mail to a restaurant on my route, and I had stopped to eat lunch. I sat down at the counter and ordered a cup of coffee, sandwich, and soup. I struck up a conversation with a gentleman, on my right, next to me, about God’s Word.

Another gentleman came in with long hair and wearing a (London fog trench coat). He took a seat at the counter on my left, two seats over. The waitress asked this gentleman what He would like as I looked over to Him. He said, “I want what He has” as He pointed to me.

There was an indescribable presence about his mannerisms and his presence. She proceeded to get Him a cup of coffee. When she came back, the gentleman was gone.

The waitress asked us if we had seen him leave, and we both acknowledged that we did not see him leave. She said she could not understand; for if He had left, she would have seen him leave because he would have to go by her where she was getting the coffee.

She and both of us thought it very strange. She then asked us what we were talking about, and I proceeded to continue talking to the man on my right and her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Later that evening, my wife, and I concluded it must have been an Angel, letting them know that what I had was for them.

The waitress that I was speaking to was moving the very next day out of state and was very much interested in what I was discussing with her about the Gospel. Such powers are closely related to the discerning of spirits. When these visitations occurred in the Bible, it was always in connection with some important event in the unfolding of the divine plan. These occurrences brought a tremendous impact upon the individual.
