FREEDOM FROM THE LAW

As I wake up early this morning, the stirring in my soul desires more of God’s Word. Opening the scriptures I come to Galatians, I begin to see the importance of the Gospel, that was given for all to receive.

In the book of Galatians, it has been revealed to us, that we were kept under the law, as Apostle Paul states, “shut up unto faith.” How exciting to know, that we are now set free from the law, or you might say, made in right standing with God, through this one act of grace given to us by God.

Jesus shed His blood that we may be cleansed from our sin, no more bound by the law! Galatians 3:24 – 27 reads, Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

God uses the Spirit to identify with us, as belonging to Him. The freedom of Christ in us, cannot exist by the law. For if it is by grace and if by grace, the law cannot exist. Receiving the grace of God through Christ Jesus means, I am under the freedom of Christ, and my desires of the old nature are no more my controlling factor.

Yes, I have put on a new nature, that of Christ Jesus who lives in me. The law was made for those who disobeyed, but now I am under Christ, a new freedom of obedience and liberty.

When we choose Christ, we have the cleansing power of Christ in us, bringing freedom to our mind, soul, spirit, and body. Freedom of life, liberty, and happiness. We as believers are to stand in the freedom of Christ and the truth of the Gospel.

The Holy Spirit will bring power to be a witness and bring freedom in every born-again believer.

Consecrating ourselves unto God and Christ, is simply bringing our own will into the alignment of God’s will, that of walking in the spirit and not in the works of the flesh.

There is a spiritual battle warring between the flesh (carnal lustful nature) and our own spirit, in which we cannot do the things we would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

Yes, God, through Christ Jesus, has given us new desires and a want to live in freedom, obedience, and grace. Oh, how exciting to know the saving power of Christ Jesus.

The liberty that comes in knowing Christ Jesus, is refreshing to my body, mind, and soul. This freedom I have, I do choose daily, to take up my cross and follow Christ.

In closing, let me say, I thank God and His Son Jesus, for sending us the Holy Spirit, that leads and guides us into all truth, as we walk and continue in His saving grace.
While continuing the narrow pathway of life in Christ Jesus, we can be assured of His blessings for eternity, and a life hereafter with Him. Be blessed as you continue in the grace of our Heavenly Father, and His Son Christ Jesus. Yes, His grace is sufficient.
