The events unfolded in the spring of 2004. The previous night, I had spent time studying about the concepts of Heaven and Hell. As one of the Letter Carriers, I was often asked to give the morning weather forecast before we departed on our routes. That particular morning, I was expected to provide the forecast, … Continue reading As Sure as There is a Heaven and Hell…
Category: God Moments
As Christians, we believe that God is ever-present and with us. Yet, there are obvious moments when God’s presence manifests in extraordinary ways. These instances, which I call “God Moments,” are when God’s presence is felt more profoundly, they become powerful testimonies of a merciful and loving Heavenly Father. God is prepared to become part of every believer’s life.
Gleneva and I have been blessed with numerous such “obvious moments” over the years, and it is our hope that by sharing them, they will provide encouragement to all who read our stories. Be blessed!
Take Me with You
It was a beautiful spring Monday morning, 2004, as I made my way over to the church to pray. I would go early to pray, worship, and give praise to my Heavenly Father, God, before I went to work. Around 6 am, I put on praise and worship music in the sanctuary, praying and worshiping … Continue reading Take Me with You
God Answered
Time flies swiftly by. In 2004, my daughter was a fifteen-year-old growing into a beautiful young woman. One night, while praying for her, I fervently asked God to bring a respectful young man into her life. Within a few weeks, my daughter, alongside her cousin and friend, encountered a handsome young man at K-Mart, busy … Continue reading God Answered
The Change
This event occurred in December 2004, during my service as a Letter Carrier for the U.S.P.S. To set the scene: the President of my Letter Carrier Union asked if I would lead the prayer at their Christmas Banquet. I agreed on the condition that I could speak for five minutes. He replied, "Take as long … Continue reading The Change
When God Speaks, Listen
On a beautiful spring day in 2005, as I departed from the Post Office to deliver the mail route, I was overcome with an overwhelming urge to pray for my son Josh's safety. I pulled over and took a moment to call upon God for his protection. Afterward, I phoned Josh to ensure he was … Continue reading When God Speaks, Listen
A Living Testimony
After being filled with the Holy Spirit, my desire for God to use me as a vessel for His Kingdom grew. This happened around the summer of 2005. While delivering mail to a medical building, a woman approached me and asked if I was Paul. I acknowledged that I was. She explained that a woman … Continue reading A Living Testimony
Thank You God
The events unfolded during the winter of 2007. I was scheduled to work my day off. On that day, I was assigned to cover an unattended route. A newly hired Letter Carrier, still within her 90-day probationary period was at risk of termination because she had lost her arrow key the previous day. This key, … Continue reading Thank You God
Wrong Place – Right Time
Here is a personal reflection on Christ's love and compassion. Jesus demonstrated His love and compassion for humanity by sharing love, God, and life itself. He was committed and continues to grant new life, a new heart, and a new spirit upon humanity. A few years back, in 2007, while I was on my USPS … Continue reading Wrong Place – Right Time
God Answered My Desire
In late summer of 2009, at the age of 54 and with my daughter now married, I considered riding a motorcycle again. My wife and I had talked about joining the motorcycle group at our church, and she agreed, provided we wore helmets. I remember praying about this new venture. I told my wife it … Continue reading God Answered My Desire
Drive by Prayer
In the summer of 2010, while delivering mail one afternoon, I was about to exit my postal vehicle when a car approached. A gentleman, accompanied by his wife, who had previously lived on my delivery route but had since moved, pulled up. He inquired if I was still the mail carrier for their old neighborhood. … Continue reading Drive by Prayer
